  1. I don't find Spurs basketball entertaining, but I do admire "Pop" and how he has transformed this team from a team that relied on defense in their early years of dominance, to now, where they rely on their offensive output to win them games.... The Heat can get complacent with their offensive sets, but nobody runs the fast break like they do. When they get in the open court it is extremely impressive what they can do. If I was the Spurs I would worry who is going to challenge Lebron at the rim. Duncan can't do it anymore. Splitter? Probably not. I would expect Leonard to guard Lebron much of the series, but can he keep him out of the paint? If Lebron can consistently get in the paint the Heat will win this series in 6 games. Once he gets in there, he'll either score, or facilitate for others (He is outstanding at both).... Should be fun!
  2. I just don't see Cross not having a larger role in the offense this year, given the work he has put in during the off-season. I am most interested to see the defensive improvement throughout the year. This defense has a chance to be pretty damn good by the end of conference play. The athletic ability, and potential is obviously there, so lets hope the offense can cover for them the first half of the year....
  3. The Pacers should have won the series. Vogel made a mistake in Game 1, and Haslem was unconscious in Game 3 and 5. They got lucky against a Granger-less team. Granger? You think Granger would have made a difference in this series? Who are you going to sit down to play Granger? Paul George?..... If you want to play the what if game; than what "if" Wade was healthy? If he was himself this series wouldn't have been close.... As far as Vogel's mistake goes? There was no way Hibbert was getting over quick enough to defend Lebron's drive to the basket. The smaller, much faster Stevenson barely got there in time. Hibbert would have had to honor Bosh's jumpshot in the corner, so I don't see him being able to get to Lebron before he makes it to the basket.... Heat fan, or not, just try and enjoy Lebron, because you're watching greatness.... Granger plays the 3 and George moves to the 2. Sit Stevenson. Granger is an all star. As far as Hibbert coming over, his length allows him to play centerfield. I make Bosh beat me with a 20ft jumper over LeBrons layup all day everyday and twice on Sundays. And if all else fails, take the hard foul. If you watch the replay, George Hill had a chance to foul Lebron and make him hit free throws. Low percentage but Still a better option than allowing an uncontested layup. Granger WAS an all-star prior to his injuries. I just don't see where Granger would fit into the starting lineup for the Pacers. I wouldn't want to take Stevenson's defensive skills off the court to start the game, when I have a similar player to Granger already on the court (George).... As a coach I could do without Stevenson's bone-headed plays though!! Granger would have improved their offensive output, but could have been a defensive liability, and most definitely would not have changed the series in my opinion (not as much as a healthy Wade would have)....
  4. The Spurs are an old squad, my favorite NBA myth. Agreed 100%. Maybe in 2009 or 2010. But not the last two years. A Spurs fan calling another team's brand of basketball boring? Hmmm..... I agree it should be a fantastic series. If the Heat can slow down Duncan they should win this series in 6 games, but I don't think they'll have a lot of success doing that, so I'll say Heat in 7.... Lebron (despite all of the haters) is the unquestioned best player in the NBA, and I think he'll be to much for the Spurs in the end. Wade's health will also be very important throughout the series....
  5. Never claimed to be a Heat fan.... More of a Lebron fan.... Lebron is a bitch. I'd have more respect for him if he didn't cry every time he doesn't get a call on offense. If he commits a foul, he cries. He a whiny baby. He gets sh#t handed to him because of who he is. Sure he's the best but i have no respect for him. You must have never liked a true NBA superstar, because you just described everyone of them.... This preferential treatment you speak of is known as the Jordan Rules.... And NBA fans worship the ground he walked/walks on....
  6. Just a thought, how large was the Chicago Bulls fan base before Jordan? Whats the difference?
  7. Never claimed to be a Heat fan.... More of a Lebron fan....
  8. It is easy to marvel at his athletic ability!
  9. They crushed them by 20+ last night. So I don't know how much luck had to do with it.... Indiana is a nice team, and I enjoy the small market teams (aside from the Spurs) doing well in the NBA; however Indiana is never getting past the Heat (as long as Lebron is there). Players want to play with this guy, so they're going to keep getting role players to come to Miami and play with him....

  11. The Pacers were never winning this series anyways, I don't understand the population's (not necessarily Huskerboard) disbelief....
  12. Flopping is an NBA problem, definitely not exclusive too the Miami Heat.... Heat haters crack me up.
  13. I just don't see how you come too those conclusions, especially when speaking on his college game.... He had one of the most productive college careers ever, and will go down as one of the greatest Tar Heels ever (that's saying something).....
  14. That is unfortunate.... Looked promising when he was bouncing Gabbert's head off of the turf....
  15. Let him murder that mouth-breather Hansblow, first. Him and his little dog (brother) too. I've always admired Hansbrough's game.... He plays incredibly hard, and would be valuable to most any team in the NBA..... He gets a bad rap because he has a funny looking stupid stare....
  16. F'n Alabama.... says ESPN Wait, didn't they lose a game last year??? I was using the sarcasm....
  17. I'd like to know what the deal is with those guys but i have a feeling they are already a lost cause. Vestal and Oki could provide depth, other than that, nothing. Jay Guy had the opportunity to be big time. It just doesn't appear that the work he's going to have to do to get there will be done. I also attribute some of this to our recruiting being better. McMullen and Moss are just flat out more athletic. Gregory as well. I've always wondered if coaches see certain guys as being lazy and no matter what they do in practice, they will never play? Or do the others (Guy excluded) just not have the talent to hack it at this level? I wonder this as well, but you look at if from an honest perspective. This is bigtime ball, with bigtime jobs and dollars on the line. I really dont think a little laziness is gonna keep top notch talent from finding the field. There is no doghouse. These coaches cant afford grudges. Baker Steinkuhler was NOT going to start over Jared Crick or Suh if they decided they wanted to slack off in practice some. Now, if it's substantial laziness and focus, and it's getting in the way of production, then yes. If it hurts the team, it cant be tolerated. It's one of those issues where it's tough to draw the line, and the line is probably different for each individual. Courtney Osborne's sudden lack of playing time made me a firm believer that Bo does have a doghouse. However, I do agree that talent will see the field under most circumstances; at this level, and any other level really....
  18. Those were four wasted scholarships if I've seen one (or four).... Don't be surprised if we see more out of our 2013 class of D-linemen this season, than the prior few classes....
  19. Haha! Gordon Gee's comments on the SEC were arrogant, and funny. I like it!

Haha, I would say something on their forum, but I know they wouldn't be able to read or respond :P

  20. All the above.... All listed options have had a great hand in making Nebraska what it is today..... Any other answer is absurd....
  21. I thought he had other interests not involving coaching? Am I imagining that? I would be in full support of your scenario (at least initially)....
  22. I would like to see Nebraska put another deck on the South stadium, or something to make it bigger, and more intimidating....
