  1. didn't he go the whole season without throwing a pick until the state title game? considering he's playing at perhaps the highest level of high school football, i'd say he's got at least some ability in the passing game. He is a capable passer, could be our most capable when he steps onto campus.... I like the way Armstrong moves in the pocket, he gets out when he has too, and doesn't seem to panic when a rusher is getting ready to hit him in the grill.... I like the way he is willing to stare down a rusher, and still get the pass off... All in all, it was quite impressive....
  2. McCaron had an exceptional game, and is nowhere near that productive normally.... The kid is ahead of Martinez passing the ball in a lot of ways, mainly because of his mechanics.... Tim Beck can act like mechanics don't matter, but they do.... Armstrong has a decent release, and while he isn't as fast as Martinez, atleast he is elusive....
  3. There is very little difference between Bo Pelini, Bob Stoops, and Nick Saban with how they act on the sidelines...Bo just makes funnier faces....
  4. There is no comparison. The only relatively reasonable thing you could say is that Suh could've played on the 11 Bama D. There is definately a comparison, watch some games from 2009. Despite the lack of effort of our offense we gave up 12 pts per game in the Big 12. The big 12 had much better offenses then the SEC, not to mention they let Texas hang 21 on them that year with a backup QB (we gave up 13 McCoy) .... Bama has a GREAT defense, but to act like we had one guy who could play on that team is ridiculous....
  5. I'm also with the 95 Huskers... Personnel, they might have an edge, but we had the superior defensive coach... Nick Saban is one of the best....
  6. I've been upset for a couple years now, but I also understand that championships take time at a place like Nebraska.... Ask Tom Osborne....
  7. This thread seems to inflate the impact of Bo's attitude on the fanbase as a whole, while we all arent supportive of his actions, i would imagine that it isnt going to alter anyone's status as a Husker fan.... If the attitude/actions thaht Bo is displaying causes someone to stop being a fan of Nebraska, then they werent a fan to begin with. That comes from a whole new level of sensitivity, and i would hate to see some of the other unrational decisions made by that person....
  8. Impressive. Hopefully he also picks up the system faster than they did. I hope its by conference play, but we'll see. Glad he's there in the spring. I don't really remember Murillo or Bowman having a tough time picking up the system. But either way, it shouldn't be too hard for him to pick up giving he has spring, summer, and fall to do so. Plus, CB in Bo's system is by far the one position that has the least worries about actual system and knowing where to be. Mostly it's guard your guy, period. I don't think it's that simple.... Bo's system is one of the more complex ones out there (or so people say), and it is primarily based off of a match-up zone....
  9. I think we can all agree the best scenario would be to have the Vikings take RG3 with their first pick, and trade up into the late 1st round and grab Dennard....
  10. Why is that? I know between Suh's Junior and Senior seasons JP had several talks with him about his role and his play. What changed between then and now? I admit its an assumption based off of Bo's typical reactions to media negativity.... He's been known to hold a grudge.... I will always appreciate what Peters did for NU, but there is a more professional/productive way to be critical of a program then what he has displayed recently.... Though his story of recovery is inspirational, nothing about his past, or present actions would lead me to want him anywhere around our players.... Not to mention his lack of coaching experience....
  11. Not to mention Peters wont be welcomed anywhere around a.Pelini coached team....
  12. Watching Von Miller this year gives me greater hope for David.... Miller is undersized for his position as well....
  13. Nine wins isnt satisfying but its nothing to fire your coach over either....
  14. You're kidding me right.... I think bama would win, but dont under estimate that OSU offense....It is like nothing Bama seen all year.... Again, i.would like Bama in the game but not by much....
  15. Good news, you have to love his loyalty.
  16. And they say we're not failing at math in this country. Meant to say 5-4..... but since you're such a genius and have never made a typo I take my hat off to you. You must have invented Math. I forgot. Yeah, yeah yeah. Lets single out the parts that help our arguement like losses without looking at the whole season. You're as bad as the paper cutting off 1/2 a season to find numbers to prove your point. And lets knock the recruiting even though he's brought in higher average rating classes than the previous two coaches even though he didn't bring in a 5 star guy. (How many are ther each year anyway? 30 or 40? I don't know). And he's done a good job recruiting with at least 2 major services bad mouthing him to recruits. I wonder if thats because he doesn't spoon feed them info like Billy C did and they have to work hard at their jobs? Bo's sat with TO and came up with a game plan to recruit out of that advice. If you notice he's kind of following a pattern that seemed to work well before. If I have any complaint about his recruiting is that they seem to be going heavy in areas, like brining in 4 DE when we have 8 on the team already. I hope that changes. And how do you know nothing will be changed at the QB spot? Its been stated several times JT will get a look. They offered the #1 JC QB last week. They're bringing in a guy who at least one coach wanted to replace a Heisman QB because he reminded him of RG3. Its going to be an open competition. They want to upgrade the QB spot and it will happen if a better guy comes along. +1 to you. Bam! BAM?? Have you been hangin on out on the LJS blog?

They want to upgrade the QB spot and it will happen if a better guy comes along. Hopefully he plans to use some of those DE in various ways (bulk some of them up, and move them inside ).... I like what the Giants do as well, they put 4 DE's on the line at once, it was impressive, and innovative....Have to have the horses for that though.... Who was the JC QB, never heard anything on that?
  18. You are a victim of false reality.... ESPN's "Bo cam", and the OWH's multiple articles that negatively reflect Bo, have clearly influenced your thinking.... Bo was not yelling at officials the whole game, in fact it was a very small portion.... I don't agree with all of Bo's actions, but they are inflated by the media, and indivduals like yourself....
  19. No mention of Bo or Raymond in that blog that I saw. I see nothing wrong in pointing out how well a former NU coach handled getting his ass handed too him. You missed the snide, passive-aggressive dig at Bo/Raymond in this sentence: I don't mind it when the OWH is simply critical, but they don't have to be douches about it. That is the point those of us with reason, is trying to make. I have no problem with the media being critical of the program, or Bo's actions. However, that comment by Lee in his blog post was childish, and embarassing for him. The OWH seems to have an agenda when it comes to Bo, and were willing to dig up a story about a Clemson position coach (former Husker coach), who had an unrelated quote, just so they could have another reason to take a lash at Bo.... If you ask me, they are butt-hurt with the way Pelini treats them.... Get over it, or become a food critic....
