I'll tell you what little I know. If your ISP has an agreement with ESPN to allow you to view ESPN3 you can stream it over the internet. For example: I live in central Texas and my ISP is GVTC. GVTC has no agreement with ESPN to stream ESPN3 stuff, so I can't watch anything on ESPN3. When you go to espn.go.com and try to view a game you will be asked who your ISP is. If it is not listed, you won't be able to stream the video. BendBroadband, Bright House Networks, Comcast XFINITY, Midcontinent Communications, Time Warner Cable, Verizon FIOS TV are the ISP's that have agreements to allow streaming of ESPN3 stuff.
