  1. Another reason Morris wasn't as high of a priority for them. They got their guy they wanted.
  2. Think he transferred to Pace Academy after his sophomore year but injured some time during his JR year.
  3. I think he didn't perform well at a camp and he is is coming back from a knee injury I believe.
  4. I don't think he is as high of a target for FSU that he once was; No disrespect to him at all. Unless he wants to stay in his region (i.e. SEC) I think this may be good for us.
  5. Penalties are the biggest issue I have with the OL. They have routinely ended promising drive that could've given our fragile offense confidence.
  6. Just as long as they wrap up but like the attitude as well.
  7. Yep. Wisconsin had Michigan these last few years as it's crossover but we'll have Michigan for the next 6 years and they'll have OSU.
  8. That was my only issue with what he did. Not that he will chose another school, if that's what he truly wants to do. If you want to experience something different, by all means do so and live your life. You don't have doctor up excuses why you want to do something else that alienates a large number of fans and burns bridges in the process. Many will actually respect you for not dragging things along.
  9. Agreed haters come in all walks of life. I personally am not moving back to the Midwest/Heartland ever again, but I never knock anyone that does. You can be in such a hurry to leave what you know but then you realize how important where you came from is. I personally think someone got into Woods' head and he's convincing himself completely turning his back on NU is the right thing to do. That said I'm excited for Jones and think he'll bring a size and speed element where it won't matter which B1G DB grabs and clutches onto him mid route.
  10. Damn...it's almost like that was all the justification needed to scream to people why folks decided the local program wasn't going to be their choice...
  11. I haven't lived in Omaha (or Nebraska) in years but things are still the same; Born and raised. We treat the rest of the state like its another country. It's been going on for decades before me. I was guilty of it too but it wasn't until I left that the outside world sees Omaha all in the same vain as Nebraska. But you'll get larger metropolitan areas around the country that have a different mindset than the greater state population. I think you're also more inclined to see city kids leave their area wherever they are around the country. For comparison Saint Louis kids has a bunch of kids that don't go to Misery. Wisconsin even loses Milwaukee kids to other schools but they clean up on all of their kids from all of their smaller towns(which they have more than Nebraska does but it's beside the point).
  12. And my point is DeShawn knew he'd catch some flack from some idiots the moment he left Nebraska off his list but why comment on another kids post? Very passive aggressive. If these kids are not choosing Nebraska because of it fans then there is something wrong. I should've been more specific, but we don't know who owns that account and their relationship with Woods. By no means is it an official Twitter page of OPS athletics I suspect there is some bias there and should be taken with a healthy grain of salt. My guess is at one point he wanted to go to nebraska but was talked out of it to look beyond, and that is between he and his family. As an Omahan myself, we are a bit of a front running bunch. Nebraska is not in trend right now and it's cool to look elsewhere if you are a metro kid. So putting some wins together will make it harder for them to say no.
  13. No disrespect but I'm not sure how much that has to do with Woods deciding on completely eliminating Nebraska. Hes long known and heard how irrational some of our fans can be so acting like its new is a bit disingenuous imo. I feel by taking the time to tweet that on another kids post, that chose to come to Nebraska for more substantial things like connection with the staff, potential fit in the offense, was him justifying leaving Nebraska in the cold. He doesn't owe anyone of us an explanation why he doesn't want to go to Nebraska but felt the need to go out of his way to do so. Really what hurts the program far more than a few rouge fans is 12-20 and how that makes it easier for other schools to poach local talent.
  14. I'm just surprised Woods is acting like this is why he's not going to Nebraska.
  15. For sure lol BA may be a control freak/overbearing/any other adjective you want to describe him as but he's no dummy. Whether the next guy can ensure it says that way remains to be seen.
  16. Agree. It took not one but 2 teams to be ineligible for them to play in Indy that season. Granted it wasn't their fault but its not a coincidence they've been unable to win it approaching a decade. As for life after BA, they may change marginally but they absolutely cannot make wholesale deviations from the same formula they've used since he took over. Its what makes them unique. The moment they change too much they become more like everyone else, which changes their recruiting approach and their style of play that keeps them from being bad(Also keeps them from being dynamic).
  17. I was referring to if Avante chose another school. You obviously take him if he wants N, but if he doesn't you use his scholarship on someone that can help more immediately.
  18. This. Would gladly use the spot we are holding for him on someone that can help us sooner or immediately.
  19. And potential he has, I just feel he needs a little more tape, especially against high quality opponents.
  20. Think you can bank on Culp coming back, but the others would be nice. I don't know if people forget CTB would be a senior in '21 under normal circumstances and would be back any way. He hasn't done enough to leave early. If he picks up where he left off next year, he'll be drafted.
  21. It has to be Luke imo. Many of the short/intermediate passes AM missed on Saturday are absolutely vital to making the offense work. They all build off of each other to complement Inside Zone and the vertical pass game. Every time those passes are missed not only does it make the down and distance an obstacle due to sheer yards to gain, it allows LBs/Safeties to play downhill and not worry about having to cover the entire field. I really think the AM(or a better version) we saw at times during the 2018 is gone and will not be returning. It's very unfortunate.
  22. Totally could see that, even though I don't think they are the best fit. Upon looking at his profile, Reggie Bush is a Helix alum so there's that.
  23. Another thing he should consider, even if they(USC) switch up and offer him a spot on defense, it can't be too settling that its known publicly that they will fire Helton and his staff when the opportunity presents itself.
