Back in my day ours were Columbus vs Norfolk and Grand Island. My brothers big one was Columbus vs Fremont. I remember fights breaking out in the stands at those.

Even after things have settled in this day and age, the place I got my new job had the football coach ask me "Are you going to get along with ........." and I looked confused, cuz I didn't know who he was talking about. So the head coach says, this guy is from Broken Bow and he's on our staff too....so I laughed and said "well, I can make due" Apparently the rivalry is still alive.
