  1. 100% agree with this. My brother and a couple buddies have a group chat where we discuss all things Huskers. I posed a question to them that I see as very relevant, Is the lack of development for Roby more on Roby or this staff? i ask this question because he is arguably the best NBA talent on this roster, but if things go this year the way they have early he seems to be the 4th option on offense? From past experience we know he (and any player for that matter) is much more effective when he is confident. So instead of him having to generate his own points off rebounds or 1on1 ball, why not run a set or 2 early in the game to get him going? Palmer and Watson have no problems shooting whether they are confident confident or not and Copeland is a better shooter and will get more looks on pen and kick situations. i truly hope this team gets it turned around because they have the talent to do some things this year. It's just hard for me to think it will with Miles here.
  2. So what I've gathered is that with a win this week, the Iowa game next week is a battle for 4th place? The Flint Michigan Mega Bowl has never looked so good.
  3. Anyway we can add a RB to this? I have no issue sending you one of my RB either. I'm just in desperate need if a back for this week and theres nothing I want to pickup on waivers
  4. I'd be willing to give up any of my WR outside of Brown. And honestly for the right return I would probably even trade him.
  5. Anyone want to trade me a RB before tomorrow. Trying to make a playoff run and there are no RB really worth picking up for a week.
  6. This most likely will get moved to the recruiting page...but I think I read we have 27 schollies open and the Big Ten allows each school to over sign by 3 which puts us at 30.
  7. Are these grades based purely on passing numbers or the position as a whole? If it is purely passing how the hell is AJ Bush that high? Also, captain obvious here, but we got ourselves a good one folks.
  8. Alright I'm gonna try my best to recount my games. 95 Orange Bowl against Miami (w) 95 vs. Washington St. (I believe this is the game we left home with nothing but sunshine and got to the stadium and it was sleeting. Spent the entire game underneath the south endzone sitting up against the fence watching). (W) 96 Big 12 Championship vs. Texas (L) 97 vs. OU. I think this is the game with the rainbow over Memorial Stadium for TO's 250th win. (W) 97 Big 12 Championship vs Texas A&M (W) I know I was at some games in this stretch but don't remember exactly which ones. There was an away trip to Lawrence I remember. Keep in mind I wasn't even 10 yet in 97. 2001 vs. OU (W) Remember staying up late the night before to make a sign for Gameday that day. Stood right along the fence in the NE corner maybe 30 feet from the Gameday set. To this day the loudest I have ever heard Memorial Stadium. 03 vs. Penn State (W) 05 vs Maine (W) 06 vs. KU (2 OT W) Took my college roommate from Lawrence to this one and we had a blast. Almost had to stay in Lincoln that night which would've made Sunday morning baseball practice a tough thing to get to. 06 Big 12 Championship vs OU (L) By far the coldest game I have ever sat through. 09 vs K-State (w) 10 Holiday Bowl vs Washington. (L) I'm adding this one for the story behind it. Myself and 4 friends were supposed to make a New Year's trip out of this game. Lincoln to San Diego to Vegas (new years) back to Lincoln. Being in college we decide to drive the whole trip. So we loaded up a van 28 hrs before kickoff from the chateau apartments in Lincoln and headed west. Made it to Albuquerque in 11 hours. Just west of there we ran into a "blizzard" which shut down most interstates and highways. It took us 13 hours to get from Albuquerque to Phoenix. Luckily for us one of the guy's girlfriend had some sort of lodging for us in Phoenix. Get to the apartment quick nap, started pre-gaming and went to a husker bar for the game. Woke up the next day drove to Vegas for New Years, stayed 2 nights there then made the trek back to Lincoln. Last road trip for me. 11 vs. UT-Chattanooga (W) 11 vs. Ohio State (W) Almost left this game at halftime. Thank you Joe Bauserman 12 vs. Southern MIss (W) 12 vs. Wisconsin (W) 13 vs. Wyoming (W) 13 vs. Michigan State (L) 14 vs. Illinois (W) 14 vs. Rutgers (W) 15 vs. Wisconsin (L) 15 vs. Iowa (L) 16 vs. Minnesota (W) 17 vs. Iowa (L) First time I ever left a game at half. 18 vs. Troy (L) Somehow this was the first game my brother and I attended together since the 03 Penn State game. 18 vs. Michigan State (TBD)
  9. I definitely agree with you about buying into the Bell hype. And not that you're doing this but people tend to overlook the backs we have now and how successful they've been this year. If Dedrick can come in and fill part of the void left by Ozigbo then I will be happy. We've got some potentially very capable backs joining the program this year so it will be fun to see how things develop.
  10. it would be nice to see him get some action these last 3 games. Especially if he can help us win them. But if he were able to help us win you'd think we would have seen him by now.
  11. I think everyone here is excited to have Dedrick in this class. After the Greg Bell situation I'll be happy if he can be part of a duo that's as productive as the one we have this year.
  12. 4 in a row for the squad. Really starting to show some resiliency.
  13. I would very much agree with this. Getting Akol, especially after what happened between Miles and his brother, is a very big thing for the Omaha connection. The thing to watch with Hepburn is whether or not Creighton offers. Hepburn and Preston Murphy Jr. are in the same class and since Murphy's dad is a Creighton assistant Hepburn may never get that Creighton offer due to conflict of interest with that. Nebraska fans need to hope that offer never comes for Hepburn.
  14. Well that's not saying much. Just hoping for some better performances from here on out. Keep it respectable.
  15. Finally a win and we're not in last. Things could be looking up from here. Still in the market for a RB too.
  16. The article brings up a lot of really good points. I think it simply comes down to O-Line play and finding a way to get off the field on 3rd down. So far this year we have been very mediocre at both of those things.
  17. While we are on the DeGrom stats train.
  18. I love looking at old stats like these. Could you imagine having an ERA under 2 and only winning 8 games in a season in today's game. What DeGrom has done this year is outstanding and his lack of offensive support may be even more historic.
  19. This stat is insane. Is there another pitcher who's had worse run support over a full season that what he's had this year?
  20. Glad to see Mo Barry still had his blackshirt. It's obvious that each game means more to him than it does to most of the rest of our defense. Never is heart a question with him.
  21. The first 1:05 of the Tre Neal interview is perfect. You can tell he's a guy who has been coached by this staff previously and he can tell that the culture here is different than what he came from at UCF.
  22. Also in the market for a RB. Willing to give up WR to get one.
