  1. Anyone else like league and/or getting DP'd by circus bull elephants? I like poking myself in the eye with sharp sticks. That's why I've played league of legends since it's came out. Anyone else? It's a a pretty polished game at this point with huge support (2 million prize pool for the season 2 championship), but the community is probably the most vile thing I've ever come across. It's getting a lot better, though, as they keep adding more consequences for negative behavior and positive reinforcement for good. Wouldn't it be be awesome to have these guys following you around narrating your life? I'd get an exam handed back by a professor and these Korean guys would come out of the woodwork shouting "C-UHHHHH, C-UHHHH, C-UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

  3. Nebraska opened up an 18.5 point favorite against the Golden Gophers. IMO, that's too many points for this team. While I think we will beat Minnesota, I just think that with the mistake prone football we have been playing, we will keep this game a lot closer than we should.
  4. If This is in the wrong section, I apologize, thought relevant because of Husker Nations love for Shawn. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/blog/eye-on-college-football/20890280/
  5. Looks like USC is back to their cheating ways.
  6. @CoryGiger #PSU QB McGloin said it's fun going on road and winning big. Goal Saturday is to "try to eliminate that crowd as quickly as possible." Son... that's not something you want to tell Husker fans. We don't get quiet at our house. We get louder as the game goes on. I hope they're up by 14 late in the second half now so we can really, really get loud. It'll make the comeback that much sweeter.
  7. We are currently 7th in the nation in rush offense, averaging 255.1 yards/game. We are currently 5th in the nation in yards per rush attempt, averaging 5.7 yards/attempt. We are 24th in rushing play percentage, running the ball 59% We're currently 16th in the nation in rushing attempts/game, averaging 44.6/game. How can anyone bitch about Tim Beck when we have rushing statistics like these? These are elite numbers, folks. We are currently 89th in the nation in penalty yards/game, averaging 63.4 penalty yards/game. We are currently 120th (tied with Arkansas) in the nation in fumbles/game, averaging 2.5 fumbles/game. (The 3 teams below us are Hawaii, Colorado and Memphis) We are currently 117th in the nation in fumbles lost/game, averaging 1.5 fumbles lost/game. We are currently 117th in the nation in giveaways/game, averaging 2.5 giveaways/game. We are currently 113th in the nation in turnover margin/game, averaging a turnover margin of -1.1/game. We are 93rd in the nation in takeaways/game, averaging 1.4 takeaways/game. Taylor Martinez is tied for 2nd in the nation with 9 fumbles. Taylor Martinez is also tied for 2nd in the nation with 5 fumbles lost. It is simply amazing that despite some of these just horrid statistics, we are somehow 7-2, controlling our own destiny with the potential to play in the Rose Bowl. We could VERY easily be 4-5 right now, if we hadn't come back against Wisconsin, Northwestern and Michigan State. You have to give credit to this team for not giving up and fighting back.
  8. I'll tell you what...this week, I'm torn. I have no idea which team is going to show up. I've seen Penn State play a handful of times this season and haven't been overly impressed, although it seems that they keep getting better every week. McGloin really does seem to be coming into his own as a passer, but I have to believe that we'll be able to pressure him since they don't really have much of a run game, forcing him into making some mistakes. My mind tells me that we're going to be the same old mistake prone, self destructive cornhuskers and turn the ball over 3 or 4 times, doing everything in our power to hand the opponent the game. My heart, however, tells me that we're due for a complete game. I say we'll shut down their run game, make them one dimensional, force a few turnovers and win by 10+.
  9. Can you remember a Cornhusker team with so many heartstopping comebacks? I can't. Wow. Just wow. :
  10. We're doomed. :ohnoes :ohnoes :ohnoes :ohnoes :ohnoes :ohnoes :ohnoes :ohnoes
  11. Earlier this week Elijah Fields Twittered this picture with the comment: "Never knew football was gon get me all this money Sike I Knew haha" ---Elihah Field Just a couple hours ago Pitt football players make the headlines with a different story: Who the heck is in charge of the athletic dept at Pitt anyway??
  12. http://espn.go.com/b...tions-week-10-2 No. 20 NEBRASKA at MICHIGAN STATE Brian Bennett: The Spartans are at home, have that lock-down defense and should play with more confidence on offense after last week's win at Wisconsin. But ... I just remember how easily Nebraska shut down a much better Michigan State attack last year in Lincoln and how well the Blackshirts normally match up with pro-style passing teams. And even though Taylor Martinez and the Huskers won't score as much as they usually do, they will put up too many points for the Spartans. Martinez overcomes a couple of turnovers and leads a patented Nebraska comeback win. ... Nebraska 23, Michigan State 16 Adam Rittenberg: Maybe Michigan State finally has turned the corner, but I also like this matchup for Nebraska. Pelini's defenses feast on pro-style offenses, and Michigan State hasn't had a good one this season. The Spartans score an early touchdown off of a Nebraska turnover, but the Huskers eventually settle down. QB Taylor Martinez connects with receiver Kenny Bell for a score and several long passes, and while the Huskers struggle to get in the end zone, Brett Maher goes 4-for-4 on field-goal attempts. Spartans running back Le'Veon Bell records another 100-yard rushing performance, but he needs at least 30 carries to get there. ... Nebraska 19, Michigan State 17 http://www.athlonspo...and-predictions Big Ten's Top Storylines to Watch in Week 10: 1. Can Nebraska handle the driver’s seat? Whether Denard Robinson played the entire game or not, Nebraska emerged from last weekend’s tilt with Michigan as the frontrunner in the Legends Division. There is no rest for the weary, however, as the Huskers travel to East Lansing this weekend to take on Michigan State. The Spartans are an enigmatic team that went on the road and beat Wisconsin last weekend with little to no offensive production from the quarterback position. Bo Pelini can work himself into a frenzy on the sidelines at times and he will need to portray an image of calm, cool and collected this weekend. A potential return trip to Pasadena is in the cards if they can handle the pressure of being the hunted on the road this weekend. 2. The league’s best offense vs. the league’s best defense Taylor Martinez and the Huskers are leading the Big Ten in scoring offense (39.3 ppg), total offense (489.1 ypg) and rushing (264.1 ypg). Michigan State and William Gholston are leading the Big Ten in total defense (267.4 ypg), scoring defense (15.0 ppg) and rushing defense (91.2 ypg). Talk about strength on strength. Something will have to give on Saturday night and if Nebraska wants to be taken seriously as a Big Ten title contender under Bo Pelini, this is a game it has to win. Braden Gall......Nebraska, 24-21 Mitch Light.......Nebraska, 20-13 Steven Lassan..Nebraska, 24-20 David Fox.........Nebraska, 21-17 Post others that you find around the interwebz
  13. Listen up kiddies After last Saturday doing the huskerboard mini pregame thing with EZ and the man who gave us the thread of hate in the Shed, AK47, I will throw out the idea of attempting to spearhead a board tailgate for either of the last two gamesagain this year. last year a couple were on board, and much like a huskerboard bar crawl it fell to poo. So let's try it again. So many of us here look for an excuse to hang and have a drink or two or twenty together, so take two. And we all know what a great chance this is to rag on derpers, mods, new posters, decked, the twat troop, knapp for being like 163 years old and a volleyball stalker, paulcrewe, PO for being a Jew, gsg for not being able to get a woman, Bucky, enhance(wherever he is these days) for being a Hollister poster boy, speed for being mia last Saturday, and the usual crap we love to bicker about through our internet tough guy personas.
  14. Although I hate Notre Lame and I was disappointed that Oklahoma couldn't win that game, it does give me a little hope for the future. The reason is, Notre Lame is a cold climate in a complete dive of a town and they've got the horses to be a legitimate top 5 team. In fact, I think they and Oregon are the best teams outside of the SEC. I like what Snyder has done at K-State but I just don't think they have the players to compete with that SEC talent. I've been to South Bend, and even slept in Tony Fisher's room when I was there. That town is a complete and utter shithole. I didn't think that campus was that great either. What I'm saying is, Notre Dame is attractive because its history and a degree from there means something. Now that we're in the Big 10 hopefully our academic side is more appealing than before. But we've got a very strong history too. We can turn this around and given some of the younger talent on the team I'm optimistic that we may just do that in the next few years. Bo, I'm counting on you to make it happen, don't let Beanman down.
  15. Wisconsin will be the team that we prove to the world that we are Kings among men! Even if it was tOSU, we'd still be smelling them roses. WE are the best team in the B1G at this moment.
  16. Tyronne Mathieu just got busted again with possession of marijuana. Maybe a front runner for the Darwin award? http://noladefender.com/content/honey-bad45ger-jordan-jef67ferson-busted-pot
  17. Post any "expert" predictions you find on the interwebz and post them here! No. 22 MICHIGAN at NEBRASKA Adam Rittenberg: I know Nebraska plays much better at home, and quarterback Taylor Martinez has made obvious improvement this season. But Michigan is the steadier team right now, and the better defensive squad. The Wolverines got over the hump last week against rival Michigan State, and they'll find a way to record a signature road win. Linebacker Jake Ryan recovers two Nebraska fumbles and Denard Robinson breaks off a long touchdown run in the fourth quarter as the Wolverines silence the Sea of Red. ... Michigan 26, Nebraska 24 Brian Bennett: The Legends Division race could get pretty boring if Michigan wins in Lincoln. One thing this league has not been this year is predictable. The Wolverines' recent conservative ways on offense will play into the hands of a Huskers defense that plays better when it knows what to expect. Martinez will pick on Michigan cornerbacks and turn in one of the finest moments of his career as Nebraska roars back from an early double-digit deficit to win. ... 19. Oh great. So now when I pray to God I'm in danger of having Tim Tebow sue me for trademark infringement.
  20. Anyone watching this game? (What, you think the debate III is better than this??) Lots of Huskers in this one. Suh smashed Cutler for a sack at the end of the first half. I thought he was going to break poor Cutler in half.
  21. Taylor Martinez. 27/39 passing for 342 yards and 3 TDs AND 18 rushes for 65 yards and 1 TD Enunwa 6 catches for 110 yards. No TDs, but he made some great catches downfield that were pivotal in our comeback win today. What else needs to be said about these guys? When the game was on the line, Taylor took the team and put them on his back and led them to a big win. Haters can continue to hate, but T-Magic is truly the leader of our offense, and I am proud to have him on my favorite team.
