  1. Mark Schlabach picks Nebraska http://espn.go.com/videohub/video/clip?id=8682918&categoryid=2378529 Gene Wojeoifjoejofeski picks Wisconsin 15. The picks Missed on Mississippi State over Ole Miss, Texas over TCU, Arizona over Arizona State and Florida State over Florida (when will I remember that FSU plays in the ACC?). But nailed some of the coin flip-ish games (Ohio State over Michigan, Oklahoma over Oklahoma State, Stanford over UCLA, etc.). This week's picks: Rutgers over Louisville, Northern Illinois over Kent State, Stanford over UCLA, Oklahoma over TCU, Boise State over Nevada, Cincinnati over UConn, Kansas State over Texas, FSU over Georgia Tech, Wisconsin over Nebraska, Pittsburgh over South Florida, West Virginia over Kansas. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/page/BMOC-112712/bmoc-surveys-bcs-campaigning-firing-season-realignment-next-move-college-football
  2. Powerball is up to $425M...if I win I am buying.... a new house a few cars a good divorce lawyer upgrade my Husker tix location (ok..I kid about one of the above) PaulCrewe a lifetime supply of whiskey. each of the Pony Posse a real pony. Knapp one of those motorized old people scooters and a bedazzled walker. GSG a mail order bride. And two random people who post in this thread I'll throw $100k each.

  5. Taylor is first team quarterback by the coaches. Braxton got the nod by the media and also was named QB of the year. Spencer long is first team by both media and coaches
  6. No. 14 NEBRASKA at IOWA Brian Bennett: Iowa needs a hero and will be holding out for one until the end of the night. Not happening. Nebraska is on a roll right now, and will push around a Hawkeyes team that has little to play for and no ability to keep up with the Huskers on the scoreboard. Taylor Martinez puts up one last argument for Big Ten offensive player of the year honors with 100 yards rushing and 200 yards passing as Nebraska punches its ticket to Indy. ... Nebraska 38, Iowa 17 Adam Rittenberg: As you wrote last week, there's no stopping the Huskers now. Bo Pelini's team knows what it needs to do, and everyone has taken care of business against Iowa's flat-lining defense in recent weeks. Martinez continues his major awards push with four total touchdowns (three passing, one rushing), and RB Ameer Abdullah adds a long scoring run as Nebraska leads throughout and earns the right to represent the Legends Division at the championship game. ... 10. If This is in the wrong section, I apologize, thought relevant because of Husker Nations love for Shawn. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/blog/eye-on-college-football/20890280/
  11. Nebraska opened up an 18.5 point favorite against the Golden Gophers. IMO, that's too many points for this team. While I think we will beat Minnesota, I just think that with the mistake prone football we have been playing, we will keep this game a lot closer than we should.
  12. @CoryGiger #PSU QB McGloin said it's fun going on road and winning big. Goal Saturday is to "try to eliminate that crowd as quickly as possible." Son... that's not something you want to tell Husker fans. We don't get quiet at our house. We get louder as the game goes on. I hope they're up by 14 late in the second half now so we can really, really get loud. It'll make the comeback that much sweeter.
  13. Listen up kiddies After last Saturday doing the huskerboard mini pregame thing with EZ and the man who gave us the thread of hate in the Shed, AK47, I will throw out the idea of attempting to spearhead a board tailgate for either of the last two gamesagain this year. last year a couple were on board, and much like a huskerboard bar crawl it fell to poo. So let's try it again. So many of us here look for an excuse to hang and have a drink or two or twenty together, so take two. And we all know what a great chance this is to rag on derpers, mods, new posters, decked, the twat troop, knapp for being like 163 years old and a volleyball stalker, paulcrewe, PO for being a Jew, gsg for not being able to get a woman, Bucky, enhance(wherever he is these days) for being a Hollister poster boy, speed for being mia last Saturday, and the usual crap we love to bicker about through our internet tough guy personas.
  14. Looks like USC is back to their cheating ways.
  15. I'll tell you what...this week, I'm torn. I have no idea which team is going to show up. I've seen Penn State play a handful of times this season and haven't been overly impressed, although it seems that they keep getting better every week. McGloin really does seem to be coming into his own as a passer, but I have to believe that we'll be able to pressure him since they don't really have much of a run game, forcing him into making some mistakes. My mind tells me that we're going to be the same old mistake prone, self destructive cornhuskers and turn the ball over 3 or 4 times, doing everything in our power to hand the opponent the game. My heart, however, tells me that we're due for a complete game. I say we'll shut down their run game, make them one dimensional, force a few turnovers and win by 10+.
  16. We are currently 7th in the nation in rush offense, averaging 255.1 yards/game. We are currently 5th in the nation in yards per rush attempt, averaging 5.7 yards/attempt. We are 24th in rushing play percentage, running the ball 59% We're currently 16th in the nation in rushing attempts/game, averaging 44.6/game. How can anyone bitch about Tim Beck when we have rushing statistics like these? These are elite numbers, folks. We are currently 89th in the nation in penalty yards/game, averaging 63.4 penalty yards/game. We are currently 120th (tied with Arkansas) in the nation in fumbles/game, averaging 2.5 fumbles/game. (The 3 teams below us are Hawaii, Colorado and Memphis) We are currently 117th in the nation in fumbles lost/game, averaging 1.5 fumbles lost/game. We are currently 117th in the nation in giveaways/game, averaging 2.5 giveaways/game. We are currently 113th in the nation in turnover margin/game, averaging a turnover margin of -1.1/game. We are 93rd in the nation in takeaways/game, averaging 1.4 takeaways/game. Taylor Martinez is tied for 2nd in the nation with 9 fumbles. Taylor Martinez is also tied for 2nd in the nation with 5 fumbles lost. It is simply amazing that despite some of these just horrid statistics, we are somehow 7-2, controlling our own destiny with the potential to play in the Rose Bowl. We could VERY easily be 4-5 right now, if we hadn't come back against Wisconsin, Northwestern and Michigan State. You have to give credit to this team for not giving up and fighting back.
  17. Can you remember a Cornhusker team with so many heartstopping comebacks? I can't. Wow. Just wow. :
