DJR313
We have no chance to go to the Cotton Bowl. NONE! A&M or OU is headed there. Two reasons for this. #1 The Cotton is pretty loyal to its Old Southwestern Conference roots #2 If Oklahoma doesn't collapse they will go. The Cotton doesn't want to piss OU off because they don't want the OU-UT game to leave their site. If OU wins out, they may go to a BCS game as an at large. They are top 15 right now and there are a lot of teams that will beat up on each other in the meantime. If A&M loses out, they sit at 8-4, NU wins the last 2 to go 9-3, with a win over A&M. I know they have loyalties, but who knows. Quote Link to comment
BRS
Boise St. will get one of the at large bids. Notre Dame will take up another. And then you have about 6-7 one loss teams in front of OU. OU won't be BCS bowling this year. Quote Link to comment

Hasn't OU played Oregon in the Holiday Bowl two out of the last three years? Would Stoops balk at playing them again this year after his earlier rant? Quote Link to comment
thebitjockey
So my neighbor is a big Badger fan. What about this.. Huskers wins the rest and heads to the Fiesta. Wisconsin ends up winning next 2 and will be easily eligible for BCS AL. So, Fiesta is Huskers/Wisconsin. Or, NU loses 1-2 and Wisconsin loses 1-2. Huskers / Wisconsin @ Alamo. Quote Link to comment
landonhusker
Remember this. The bowls themselves have a choice or say in the matter. If push comes to shove we will get a better bowl than OU because we travel better and that is what the bowls want. Quote Link to comment
HuskerFan06
I think we will be playing in the Alamo bowl again....which we play rather well in so that might be a good thing.....BUT would anyone think it was a dissapointing season if we ended up playing in the same bowl as last year? would that be looked at like we didnt improve? tattooedhusker
it wouldn't effect me, i already know that there is major improvements across the board Quote Link to comment

I dunno... the Alamo for the 3rd time in 4 years would be kind of disappointing. If we win out in the reg. season and lose in the CCG, we may well see the Holiday or the Cotton. A win at A&M would go a long way to boost our bowl bid. Quote Link to comment
ttheKid1*18
It could be a step backwards, but we did play USC, UT(2 times), and A&M. It was a lot different than last year. Quote Link to comment
mbhusker13
What do you think the bowlo game would be if the 12th man rattles Taylor.=L And Nebraska looks past Colorado, and they come in playing out of their minds and we get beat at home by IMFG!...........the Colorado Cream Puffs? BIGREDIOWAN
Cotton or Fiesta Bowl are the most likely ones for me...........all I care about though is us winning out in the regular season, beating Texas and winning the Big XII Championship, and going to the Fiesta Bowl for another...............yep you guessed it win!!!! HuskerFan06
The latest projections on espn.com 1 writer has us in the gator bowl against GT and another has us in the holiday against cal...i guess its safe to say that no one expects us to be OU Quote Link to comment

dbetz23
We will not go to the Cotton Bowl if we get beat by OU. We will go to San Diego and play in the Holiday Bowl. Yes, Cotton is #2 Big XII bowl BUT it's also about selling tickets. The money for both sides is for Neb to play in the Holiday Bowl (Ive heard this on numerous media outlets). Not that it matters we are going to the Party Bowl (Fiesta)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote Link to comment
