I guess I could do the research myself but I am a bit lazy at times....who is Ray Finkle or what can you tell me? Mr. Finkle: What do you know about Ray Finkle.....? [Ace sucks in a huge breath of air.] Ace Ventura: Soccer style kicker, graduated from Collier high June 1976, Stetson University honors graduate class of 1980, holds 2 NCAA division 1 records one for most points in a season, one for distance, former nickname "The Mule", the first and only pro athlete to come out of Collier County, and one hell of a model American. A kicker would be used if they were worth half a sh!t....can we yank scholarships away from someone after giving it to them?...make Congdan pay for his freaking education...he sucks! and who was the dipstick that saw something in him and recruited his sorry a$$? Blackshirt316 Posted January 9, 2007 Share Posted January 9, 2007 I dunno about this kid, the LJS had an article on this and his HS coach said he wouldn't hesitate to use him from 40-45 yards kicking off a 2 inch tee... that doesn't really give me a lot of confidence in a kid when they don't use a 2 inch tee in college. oviedol55 Posted January 9, 2007 Share Posted January 9, 2007 Congdon = 24/30 in his 2 years here. 86/88 on his XPs, with one screw-up a year (one was his first ever D-1A kick). Solely responsible for 158 points the last two seasons. Far from "sucks" or "waste of a scholarship." I would've liked to see what he could do from further than 41, but to my knowledge that's the farthest he has ever attempted. However, when we got inside the red zone, he was pretty much automatic. Perhaps people are too quck to forget Sandro DeAngelis. Quote Link to comment
