Eric the Red
Player: Daniel Buckner Hometown: Allen, TX Position: WR Height: 6’5” Weight: 200 40 time: 4.5 Visit Date: Scholarships offered: Nebraska, Texas Tech, Kansas, Kansas St., Oklahoma St., Notre Dame, A&M Favorites: Rankings/Stars: Rivals: Bid Red Report: Assessing the talent: Per A Step Ahead: Jim Stefani's Underclassmen Football Recruiting Blog Buckner is the Texas candidate for top WR in the nation. Some, including the turtle-necked one, believe that he is the top nation’s best WR and have compared him to the likes of Randy Moss……..A First Team All District 9-5A pick as a junior……Tall and graceful with fine speed (sub 4.5), he just needs to polish his route-running. He has solid hands and has the height and vertical to really go up and get the ball. A bit more raw than most of the other elite receivers but his ceiling could be the highest of the bunch……As a junior, he had 46 receptions for over 660 yards……As a sophomore, he had 24 receptions for 401 yards and 3 TDs…….He was very, very impressive at the 2006 Notre Dame summer camp…..He plans on starting college in January 2008…….As of early January, he had offers from such schools as Notre Dame, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Boston College, Texas A&M and Baylor. Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 5% Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
I like this kids size and speed. We need to send the troops down there to try and get this kid. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Some good prospects out there for the future. We need to hit the coasts hard along with the south and pull some of these kids away from schools like USC,Texas,Oklahoma,Florida, etc. to be THE team again. Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
it will be super tough to get theis kid away from Texas....they will be all over him in a huge way. Quote Link to comment

2nd to Nunn
with purify graduating, it would be nice to get anther receiver that has some height. Henry is waiting in the wings, and hopefully he will take over for mo, but you can never have too many playmakers that are 6'5'' Quote Link to comment
