Eric the Red
Looks like he ran a 4.57.......Lynch from Cali ran a 4.52 then a 4.49 This is what I'm talking about when you guys see recruits 40 times. A 4.7 or 4.8 is pretty damn fast for a high school kid......these times are electronic, on turf, in a controlled environment and most of these potential high draft picks are just barely breaking 4.4.... gamecocks
Im not for sure, but I think it is safe to say that he got over a 6 on his wonderlic test too. Quote Link to comment
KansasHusker
Great vert jump by Bjax. I expected him to run a little faster, but it shouldn't hurt him too much...at least I hope it doesn't. Quote Link to comment
husker rob
he should be a first day selection. late 2nd early 3rd round Quote Link to comment

Speed is a definent asset, but he can block, catch very well, run with good power, cut and a good zone runner Quote Link to comment

Anyone else see KU's Cornish ran a 4.67? How in the heck did he run circles around us this year? Quote Link to comment

strigori
I read an article recently that talked about 40 times being more or less a relic. What the teams really look at are split times on shorter distances, 10 and 20 yards depending on possition. The 40 is more a guage of top speed, the splits are a better showing of burst speed. I would be willing to be Cornish has a much better burst than top speed. Quote Link to comment

huskerpt34
He was also in the top 5 for the 20 yard shuttle. I think he opened some eyes today, people know he can catch the ball and block. Tied in the top five with 37 inch vertical and 4.57. Not bad at all. Way to go Brandon. Quote Link to comment

bethelbacker
I dont think he'll be taken in the first day. I hope I'm wrong, I want nothing but the best for him, but as much as we wish it was a relic, the 40 still has some psychological hold on a lot of scouts, and a 4.6 is something to look for from a tight end, not a tailback. Hope that Stew, Jay, and Adam tear it up tomorrow! GBR Quote Link to comment
