Ohio Pete
Player: Jordan Jonker Hometown: Hudsonville, MI Position: LB Height: 5'10" Weight: 192lbs. 40 time: 4.56 Visit Date: Scholarships offered: None Schools of Interest: Nebraska, Central Michigan, Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Notre Dame Favorites: Michigan Rankings/Stars: Rivals: :star - 5.1 Bid Red Report: ESPN: 64 Assessing the talent: Jonker is an aggressive in-line runner with good production at the high school level. Lacks great size for his current running style when projecting for college but it's hard to ignore this kid's burst and decisiveness between the tackles. Solidly-built, compact with good overall body strength. Shows good urgency out of his stance and hits top-speed very quickly through the hole. ... Overall, Jonker is a bit of an over-achiever at the high school level, and we question if he can produce as an D-I RB with his current size/speed measurables and aggressive in-line running style. Hard-nosed competitor; could get a look on defensive as a hybrid strong safety in the right scheme From ESPN (more here) Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: Quote Link to comment
Ohio Pete
Though Adams and Beauharnais stole the spotlight at the running back position, another back who stood out was sophomore Jordan Jonker of Hudsonville High School in Michigan. Jonker, 5-foot-10 and 192-pounds, excelled during the combine events with a 34-inch vertical, 4.59 40, 4.57 shuttle, 9’0 ½” broad, and 27 reps at 150-pounds. Quote Link to comment
