Hawkeyehusker
I know Keller started out a bit sketchy, but he sure looked better as the game moved on. This guy is going to take us to the next level. What we saw today was a rusty Keller that hasn't played ball in a real game since 2005. It sure looked like the problems we had scoring in the third quarter last season are now gone. Quote Link to comment
FriscoTXHusker
I think Keller did very well given he's been out of competition for a couple years and is running a new system in a new venue. He's probably putting a lot of pressure on himself. I think he'll settle in and do well. He looks to have all the tools of a pro. His passes looked effortless. Threw the ball 65 yards! He under threw a potential TD pass and forced a play for an interception, and looked uncomfortable early on (the dropped passes didn't help that I'm sure. He'll get better and better with experience. I thought BC made a smart move to focus on the run and let Keller ease into the offense. The line play was so good there was no need to get too fancy too fast. Lucky and Castille - what a combo. EbylHusker
Don't forget too that smashing the run is still expected from Nebraska. We're giving very little away (except that we can still run, go figure) by pounding the ball down their throats for most of the game. Just another good thing about that aspect of it. Great running by Lucky today...But let's not forget that Nevada is no WF or USC. Anyway, Lucky did look good though and Castille is gonna be a monster! I hope we can keep blowin em off the line to give Lucky the opportunities that he had today. GBR!!!! Quote Link to comment
EbylHusker
Yeah, but Nevada isn't a doormat either. To so dominate a team like them is a good sign for the opener. They're nowhere near the competition we'll see in short order, but I have to ask if we'd have looked as good against them in the opener last season? I think the answer is a resounding, "No way." BIGREDIOWAN
Obviously he didn't make some good decisions here and there, but his receivers didn't help him either!!!! Nunn dropped some big passes and gave up a chance at some big yards. It's the first game though so I understand that they got to get things worked out. Once he got settled he looked a lot better in the second half and he showed why we need him as our starting QB. I don't remember who he threw the ball to, but he threw a helluva pass to someone going out at like the 4 yard line or something and it was a laser pass!!!!! Quote Link to comment
EbylHusker
I want to say that was an End. That was a beautiful pass, I know exactly which one you mean. I just don't know the guy's name. Quote Link to comment

hskerprid
That pass went to Sands our fullback I Believe Quote Link to comment
Licensed to Ill
Once our recievers get used to his velocity he's gonna be great. Quote Link to comment
papersun87
He didn't really get a chance to show off much, as Lucky and Castille had the game pretty much in hand from the second possession. But he did a great job backing them up. Did you hear the commentators talking about how Keller had stayed after practice and tried to throw a ball out of the stadium? Quote Link to comment
admo
For his first start, I thought Keller did a lot better than Zach did against Maine (15-36 196yds 2int in his first start). As Taylor progressed, so will Keller. Bottom line, I thought Keller did a real good job and I am satisfied and pleased with his game. Quote Link to comment
tattooedhusker
That pass went to Sands our fullback I Believe Actually i think that was to Mike Mcneil, our TE(if i'm thinking of the same pass) Quote Link to comment

Overland Park Husker
Dang ABC cut away to the Wake Forest/BC game before I had a chance to see Ganz play. I was at the game and watched it in full (they didn't cut out in Nebraska) and Ganz only had 1 pass that he through off his backfoot for a completion. Hard to say how his day was when all he did was hand it off. Quote Link to comment
