huskerguy
Ok so I'm curious, what is the highest top 25 ranking we've had under BC? I'm just wondering because I'm thinking it might be something like #14 or we already might be at it with #16. Well either way I would expect us to move up to the highest ranking of the BC era this week! #9 VT lost big, but to #2 so how much will they slide? #11 Georgia lost to unranked South Carolina So we could move up a little, at least a spot or two! A lot more moving up to do after next weeks W Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Good question and I as well think we will move up to #14. Quote Link to comment
huskerguy
Well I did some research and it looks like the highest we've been under BC is #15 against Texas Tech in 2005 Quote Link to comment
DJR313
Well I did some research and it looks like the highest we've been under BC is #15 against Texas Tech in 2005 Nebraska was not rated for that game, Texas Tech was rated 15th. The current ranking is the highest Nebraska has had since the 2003 season before playing Texas. Last year before the Texas game, NU was rated 17th. Quote Link to comment
huskerguy
Whoops! Looked in the wrong column. Hard to believe we haven't cracked the top 15 in such a long time and now its possible after cracking the top 15 we could move to the top 10/5 with just 1 win! Quote Link to comment
Shadow_Husker
I would agrre that we move up this week, But "IF" we loose next week how far would we drop? Quote Link to comment
huskerguy
It all depends what else happens next week. Quote Link to comment
Wharf Rat
But "IF" we loose next week how far would we drop? I think it depends on how big of a margin it is. A 38-35 OT loss probably wouldn't have much impact on the rankings. a 49-0 blowout on the other hand would. Quote Link to comment
hastingshusker
It all depends what else happens next week. and (God forbid) how bad the loss is. If its by one in a tight game not much. If its a blowout...goodbye top 25 Quote Link to comment
I Bleed RED
I think it is somewhere around 28th. Someone else would be able to say right away but I can look it up. I am sure you mean how high we were ranked at the end of the year since during the year doesn't mean much unless you are a top 10 team Even that doestn' matter ask Michigan, since that is everyone's fav example. There really isn't any difference between 13-20 nor is there a diference between 9-12. The top 8 each spot really matters b/c of the BCS. Quote Link to comment
I Bleed RED
I think that if we even lose by 20 next week we will still be in the top 25 maybe even the top 20. The media will just assume USC is really as good as they said. Quote Link to comment
KansasHusker
Virginia Tech looks ugly so far. No way they should be in the top 15. Quote Link to comment
AuroranHusker
USA TODAY Coaches Poll.... NU #14 Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Good to see I can't wait to see where we are when the AP Poll comes out. Quote Link to comment
Zaimejs
We're ranked below Rutgers. Does anyone else see a problem with that? Quote Link to comment
