Well I hate to rain on your little parade here, but it's pretty much what everyone expects from me so what the heck. There's only so much effect the fans can have on a game, they can't make the players play better. If that was the case we'd have won the Texas game last year. With that said, I certainly don't expect the fans in the stadium to disappoint. They've always held up their end of the bargain.

 

Damn man, can I ask you a personal question? Why do you even post around here? You and I Bleed Red and Pooh Bear should go start your own forum, and you three can sit around and wallow in misery all day. I appreciate opposing thought on any issue, but at some point I just have to ask the obvious. You're not Man of the Year here at HuskerBoard, to say the least, so what ARE you here for, exactly?

 

And USC must be razed to the ground.

 

Actually, even the actual opponents and their 'opposing thoughts' are more positive about NU than the trio you mentioned...those 3 are just flame-baiters from other schools wanting to stir up crap, or have daughters that are pregnant with Frank's babies.

The thing is, I don't think USC has ever come to CORNHUSKER COUNTRY. Remember what happened when the coach of Notre Dame said something about Nebraska's running game? He said something like, "I dare Nebraska to run the ball right up the middle". What did we do? WE RAN THE BALL RIGHT DOWN THEIR THROAT!!

Now, USC thinks they're going to come into Memorial Stadium and push us around? I don't think so!

I so hope they show the Tunnel Walk on Saturday, because the intensity level in the stands and the intensity level the Cornhuskers will be feeling as they make their way through the tunnel is gonna be awesome.

Look for the Nebraska Football Helmets raised high Saturday Night. It's time to unleash the Cornhuskers!

The Team needs the crowd to be unbelievable on Saturday night. Has anyone ever watched a big game at Happy Valley? Now THAT is an ELECTRIC environment! We need everyone on their feet and yelling like crazy the ENTIRE game.

Last week was a typical case of 'pulling a Michigan'. We were looking ahead, but still pulled it together to win. We showed the makings of a strong team, a team that didn't fall down and stay down.

 

WE GOT BACK UP!

USC is the 'best team in the nation' by everyone's standards. But they don't have the most important thing in college football. They don't have character. They don't have the gold marks on their helmets that were earned from fighting Wake for a win. They don't have that humbling feeling of 'surviving' a road game.

 

To the doubters - that is what you are. You are not a 'realist' - you are a doubter.

 

NU has a chance, they have the makings of a great team. They need the true blue Husker fans to show up, inside Memorial and out. Fill the parking lots with you, your friends, your friends friends. Then walk into the GREATEST COLLEGE FOOTBALL STADIUM IN AMERICA and truly read the words above the gates.

 

Husker Nation has been doubting our team for 5 years. The team should be doubting us. It's time to step up and truly be THE GREATEST FANS IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL.

The problem is I'm not so sure we were overlooking wake. I think we used a fairly closed playbook, but... the problem appeared to be execution. And I think, whatever the gameplan is this week against USC , that if we don't show a significant improvement in execution.. we're gonna be in trouble. Hopefully they get a lot fixed this week.
