huskerfantls
defense is non-existenent again. Drove right down the field Amazing what Cosgrove can do to a D that last year was one of the best.... Quote Link to comment
huskerfantls
31 pass attempts in the first half? Why? Dailey can't throw They pass because callahan is a compleate idiot and the score is 24-7 due to Nebraska not have a def coach....Cosgrove is a joke wisc is thanking nebraska for taking him and raider fans laughing at Neb for picking coach callahan up Quote Link to comment
macroboy
I just started a post about how frustarting this is. Good to see I'm not alone. When I started my post it was 17-7. What happened? Wasn't it almost 1/2 time? Quote Link to comment
Oklahoma Husker
Yeah they had a last second touchdown. they scored and kicked off and it was half time Quote Link to comment
kramer
31 pass attempts in the first half? Why? Dailey can't throw I blame Dailey not Callahan. How many crappy throws. The play must be there if he keeps calling it. Quote Link to comment
Oklahoma Husker
They've been there....i agree. I've heard at least five throws dailey overthrew when the receiver was open. but dailey can't throw so let's run. Quote Link to comment

So what should a real coach do? work with what you have asking JD to pass the ball and be a threat is like asking a kicker to play center its not something that is going to work, and its not what he is best at. kramer
These are big boys....D-1 athletes, as a coach you gotta exect the plays top be made Quote Link to comment
roadrat
Run the ball you a$$hole$. Every incompletion makes it 2 & 10, 3 & 10 how can you put a drive together that way? I vote we don't go to Oklahoma at all next weekend. Regarding the reason the defense played well last week was that they were scared to embarass themselves in front of former players and coaches. It had nothing to do with Cosgrove, because he's still a crappy coach. Quote Link to comment
Oklahoma Husker
Yeah i expect them to be made too, but when they're not being made you have to change something....ross is running good so why not give it to him more.... Quote Link to comment
macroboy
Agreed! Kramer, if things aren't working then, as a coach, you have to make changes, not keep calling the same plays and blaming the players. That kind of logic makes you Gary Barnett (yes, I live in CO) Quote Link to comment

Kramer, if things aren't working then, as a coach, you have to make changes, not keep calling the same plays and blaming the players. That kind of logic makes you Gary Barnett (yes, I live in CO) I think the plays are so wide open and obvious that you would have to stick with them. Quote Link to comment
Oklahoma Husker
But ross has 9.7 a carry....those plays are there but he's only carried 10 times Quote Link to comment
DaveH
I was at the game. The passing game is there, but Dailey doesn't seem to be able to locate the open guys. Sometimes he checks down great, most of the time he doesn't. I wouldn't say that most passes were "almost intercepted". There were a couple that were, most weren't It just sucks to see that kind of potential out on the field every play and the offense can't get a hold of it. The kid just can't get it done. Period. End of story. Once again, Huskerfantls, you are horribly horribly wrong. Quote Link to comment
