Drowning_in_the_Sea_of_Red
I say we hold a nationwide NCAA Football 2008 tournament on XBOX. Winner is the new head coach. Quote Link to comment
papersun87
Another Millard North grad here . . . we went to state ALL FOUR YEARS I was there and managed to find a way to puke it away two of the four times despite, like already been said, having more talent than a coach could even dream of having. Plus he's a jerk. EDIT: And what has he done lately? Quote Link to comment
jonnyhuska
Jeez guys calm down..I'm throwing some ideas out there, I dont know anything about the guy I just knew of North's success the past few years. I really just want some Nebraska guys to take over, who knows the tradition. Take her easy..don't be hatin. Quote Link to comment
jonnyhuska
Plus..I can't believe you can criticize any idea for a coach. Im sure a plumber named Gary could put more fire under the 'Skers. Quote Link to comment
Dan
As a MN alum, this is the dumbest idea I have ever heard. Quote Link to comment
NUpolo8
Why narrow the search so much? My swim team coach in high school was awesome. I say the transition will be seamless. Quote Link to comment
huskerinkc
How about the head coach from McCook? He has lead the Bison to numerous titles and has done it with virtually zero big time players. Out in western Nebraska, there is not a lot of big name talent. Goes to show you he has a heck of a mind for the game and a desire to win! Quote Link to comment
jonnyhuska
Im sure my geometry teacher from Jr. High could draw up some good plays. Lets hear your ideas instead of thoughtless criticism... :asshat Quote Link to comment

Huskerfan55
You have to be kidding me. The North coach is a joke! Quote Link to comment
np_husker
I don't even know the guys name..but I do know that Millard North at one time was tops in the country. Give him a try, at least he probably actually cares about Nebraska football. NEVER!! Quote Link to comment
Edinasker
I don't even know the guys name..but I do know that Millard North at one time was tops in the country. Give him a try, at least he probably actually cares about Nebraska football. NEVER!! Agreed. These high school coaches who have a ton of talent and dominate for a long time are full of themselves and would make terrible college coaches. I personally have never met or encountered the MN coach but from the kids I have met here at UNL that played for him, their lack of charcter and class speaks volumes of his coaching and the values he instills in his players. But that is the way these types of high school coaches are. Having played in the Minneapolis suburbs I have enocuntered the ultimate high school coach that is full of himself, a man named Mike Grant. Those who follow Minneapolis high school football know of whom I speak. He has five state titles in the last fifteen years and annually has three to four D1 players including one that Husker fans are familiar with, Jay Foreman. The amount of kids he had to chose from is unreal. And he thinks the world of himself. He acts as if he runs a major college prorgram. He talks down to other coaches and other programs. At the end of the day his wins should speak for himself yet he needs more than that. Would not surprise me if the MN coach was like that and those kind of ego-maniacs don't work at Nebraska. This is the dumbest idea I have heard in a long time. Quote Link to comment
Licensed to Ill
I went to high school a miilard north FP is a tool. Exactly. FP is the Callahan of Omaha high school football. No body wants to play for him, my friend told me other Millard schools run plays called Petito for the dislike of the guy. Quote Link to comment
