Blackshirtsguru
It is sad, the way Husker Nation has slipped. I think it's still most important in the end to differentiate between message board fodder and the actual state of Husker fans...this board has become more tense and hostile, but unfortunately that can't be helped and it's to be expected. But most fans are more or less the same (I hope), remain upbeat, and root for the team. I was at the UT game and my boys and I were screaming our asses off. I guess the thing that is so scarry is that when the Huskers lose, I am numb to it! Quote Link to comment
hskrmama
To Dave H. To JayHawk, Thanks for the comments. It's nice when someone says they are gonna kick our butt with class. I like that. Thank you for being a respectful fan. But with that, I hope you lose. Quote Link to comment
CornFedHusker55
It helps when people do not act so immature with their posts. It is a disgrace, and I'm not motivated on here. Not only the ibecilic actions of disgraceful husker fans, but then the repetitiveness of the topics. But I do thoroughly applaud the moderators for their attempts and success in keeping this such a nice place. Quote Link to comment
melscott62
You know with the growth of the board lately, it gets harder and harder to come here. A very respectul fan comes to our board and we dish out crap. Maybe we should try to screen what drifts in DaveH. This was one of the best boards around, but with a lot of the new bees we seem to be sinking to the level of the others. Thank you for taking care of the problem though. You seem to always be on your toes for these lame brains. It is sad, the way Husker Nation has slipped. respectful..... eh... sorta... but cocky as well. its not hard to see how some can see that as disrespectful. some people dont want to hear how bad we suck from other fans. that being said, if we truly are great fans, we need to be bigger than that. skersfan
I respect a fan that has confidence in his team. His coments were fair and honest. He did nothing to deserve an attack from anyone on this board. I know we are a little touchy over the team, but we need to act like adults here. The standards of Nebraska are not only falling on the field, but in the stands as well. Our own team says they would rather play on the on the road than listen to the boos and derogatory remarks by OUR so called fans. I think this board indicates the state of Nebraska as a team and and a fan base. That is becoming a sad situation. I have frequented this board for quite awhile. It is nothing like it used to be. I could hardly wait to get to work to listen to the inteligent posts, of what was done right or wrong. Expecting good fans discussing the pros and cons. This sight has become nothing but a bashing whole for the staff and in the long run the team. You may agree with that, but I don't and never will. I will support this staff and team until they have turned the corner or are gone. They need it now more than ever before. We need to win these last three games. And this team needs every single true fan behind them. So do the coaches. I will stand and cheer until they have won or lost. I will not desert my team or the traditions this program has. It is sad some think it is okay to only reperesent themselves and their thoughts. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
We can all deal with a little light-hearted smack talk anyway. Let's crush those Jayhawks Quote Link to comment

Along with all the "my sources say" crap that has been infested this great board for the past 2 weeks! I will always come to this board but it's becoming harder and harder to frequent lately! And to boot...it's nothing that the MODS have done wrong either! Quote Link to comment

Pasadena Husker
Hey huskers, I am not trying to be a buzzkill here but... It is amazing how much confidence the "moral" victory against the Longhorns has given some of you I myself was confident that NU would play with Texas, and before the game had just as much confidence as some Husker fans that this would happen. I was rooting for NU to win with everything I had, but it just didnt happen... After the NU game, I watched as the Jayhawks stuffed the highly esteemed aTm rushing offense. However I was not impressed with our kicker. Overall, though I was happy with the win in a hostile environment. The aTm game has motivated this whole team and given us momentum. If we held McGee and Lane, we can surely hold Lucky and Castille However.... I think NU will give KU a game in Lawrence because it seems that NU plays better on the road this year. If the game were in Lincoln I might be more confident. It seems that Nebraska now plays with reckless abandon something we havent seen the whole season.. Unlike Bill, Mark Mangino (you will see him on the KU sideline he will be the really, really fat guy with a bucket of KFC instead of a playbook) likes to keep the offense simple. Our team is well coached and plays with a passion for the game. NU will surely play like a wounded animal and will fight with everything they have I believe. Mangino has Cally's number and we will be 9-0 after this game, but who knows? Maybe Nebraska can knock off its first Top 10 team with a win against Kansas...never thought that I would say that. We are ready for you in Lawrence, it is our homecoming game and it has been a long time coming. We welcome all Husker fans to come tailgate with us and lets have a great Big 12 game! GO JAYHAWKS! ROCK CHOCK while not a fan of the jayhawks, i can imagine the incredible enthusiasm that must be in lawrence and the rest of kansas during this stretch run. when was the last time kansas was undefeated in football during november? however, i do not sure your opinion that the game will be close. this week is homecoming at kansas and the team and kansas fans will be so jacked up that they will likely steamroll us even before the first half is over. enjoy it now because even if kansas continues to have some success in football in the next couple of years it will never seem as exciting as this season. sandhillhusker
Being a newbie to the board i'm not sure what comments would be accepted here. first off to the kansas fan i want to say that of the many kansas fans i know they seem to be great fans and since this will be the first time in like 200 years that ku comes to this week as a favorite u have a right to be a little cocky. and a quick comment about booing. i am not a fan of this coaching staff i was at first but, am not now however, i do support them because i am a husker fan and they are coaching MY team i will not boo anyone on MY team EVER regardless of my feelings towards them. i haven't been to many husker games but, leaving early would not be an option it doesn't matter if we are up by 38 or down by 38 i will stay and cheer on the Huskers at every game i attend. but i have shut the tv off a time or 2 just because the husker radio guys are easier to listen to they're going through the same thing we are. we can talk about how terrible the coaching or the players are till we are blue in the face but, in the end it does nothing for the team. as a fan our job is to support the program the team we are supposed to share in the glories of winning and the agony of defeat i hope as a fan i have done that. And there is no such thing as a "Moral Victory" there are only Victories and Defeats Quote Link to comment

I'll disagree about the moral victories however. Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
Hey vadernation I respectfully call you one of the worst Husker fans out there. You represent about .00001% of HuskerNation.
