monte68347
The Posts are wider apart in College. It is a much easier Kick to make than it is in the NFL because of this. I belive in collage you can use a tee Quote Link to comment

germanforbigred
What is deceptive about this stat though is, you don't really know if any of those kickers whose longest FG is <57 ever tried one that was 57 or longer. Coaches not very often go for FGs that long. None the less Henery's kick was awesome Quote Link to comment

Eric
How are Alex's kick offs? They have to do double duty in the NFL. Quote Link to comment

zoogs
You mean Congdon? Congdon was a freshman all-american. However, apparently he didn't have quite as much range. Jordan sure made a clutch kick for us though - a 40 yarder in windy conditions against K-State in '05. Man, '05 was another fun year. Quote Link to comment
Husker Runner
I believe there have only been three "clutch" field goals longer than 57 years in NFL history. All the rest came in "non-clutch" situations. Quote Link to comment
TheKiD
Holy crap! Henery has shown he is consistent, he should be playing in the NFL. SHUT UP!! We don't want the kid to bolt after his Jr. year for the NFL, do we? Don't give him any ideas!! I wonder if there has ever been a kicker to leave early Dont think so.. though that kicker from colorado a few years ago probably could have.. mason crosby? Quote Link to comment

Oh you mean the one where Pitt would have won if the holder was paying attention and didn't take the snap off the helmet? The one where the attempt was on 3rd down and with enough time left that they fell on the ball and had a 2nd attempt but it got blocked? Yeah, watched that sequence from under my poker table.
