It's unreal how much people are talking about "conference strength." Poor Big 10. And Ohio State, which has fielded one of the best teams in the nation these past few years. mmmtodd Posted January 9, 2009 Share Posted January 9, 2009 according to a post i saw over on tigernet, Ron Cherry and his ACC crew are not particularly well respected inside the conference, and went as far to say that the choice was mainly based on the fact he is African-American, and not merit. in fact, his exact words are, To the rest of the United States..The ACC has the worst officiating in college football. Ron Cherry's crew is the laughing stock of the ACC. But he's African American so though he's incompetent, he gets to officiate the biggest game of the season tigernet= Clemson board.
