Damn, I thought we had a real chance with this guy due to his comments after junior day. Now it seems he is going to get an offer from Texas so we can probably kiss this guy goodbye. It looks like if we are going to get a big name receiver we are going to have to get them out of Missouri.

Texas offered but it looks like they offered a few WRs over the weekend and they got a commit out of one. That brings them to three, do they really take four in this class? They are already at 16 freakin commits. For some reason we can get four or five star players at every other position but WR, I really hope this is the year that changes.

SON OF A....................My God this is really upsetting!! They also got another DT which brings them to 3 for this class. The only plus out of texas finishing their class by May pretty much is they dont seem to be getting the top players according to the rivals pre season list. You would think they would save spots for Seastrunk, Jeffcoat and probably some others just in case they want to commit.

Husker Power, you need to post the commitment to Texas on the original post so more innocent Huskers won't have their hearts broken by the time they reach the bottom of the page.

At-least we're getting these misses done with. Won't have to worry about Texas jumping-in on recruits or recruits holding-out for a Texas offer. Ya it blows that Texas is getting these guys and we're not. But at-least we aren't wasting time on misses and we may get some guys down the road that Texas should've offered but can't due to being full.

I think he decommitted from Texas. I'm not sure who it is but rivals has an article about someone decommitting and it appears it is Apo. I wonder if we still have a shot with this guy.

They were probably referring to DB Ahmad Dixon who switched to Baylor.

No they mentioned that in the header how they lost dixon and now another. I'm pretty sure it's Apo but I would like some confirmation.

Well that sucks for them.

Apo is planning to attend BYU's Jr. day, and is really good friends with QB Jake Heaps, who committd to BYU today...so, I'm guessing he's probably heading to BYU if/when he "decommits" from Texas.

PER ESPN:

Big pass-catcher Ross Apo drops Longhorns for Cougars

Wide receiver Ross Apo has decommitted from Texas in favor of Brigham Young, a source close to Apo has told ESPN affiliate Web site InsideTexas.com.

Other programs such as Nebraska, Missouri and Tulsa have also offered the 6-foot-3, 192-pound prospect.

Last fall, he caught 37 passes for 764 yards (20.6 average) and 11 touchdowns. As a sophomore, he posted 27 receptions for 331 yards and one score.

Wow if I were Texas I wouldn't even pursue this guy anymore. It still lists him as a soft verbal to BYU and he just switched his committment.

great news for us! Now we won't have to play against him.

true, but from what i heard(from an aTm fan) was that texas kinda showed him the door, because their in the running for a couple of more highly touted WRs.... so from that perspective. dang.
