BigRedPowerWagon
Probally been covered but ill say it again. When im watching Zac Lee with 5 yards of nothing and him stepping then stopping, stepping then stopping. I get so frustrated. 5 yards isnt much but its half ot what you friggin need most of the time. And recievers, had plenty of line to run if they would just bear down and hit the f'ers. Like this. BiRv7J2f7_w You hit the fu&*#r if you half to but you dont try to wiggle around every time. Some times if you knock them off there guard you still get forward progress. LEAN YOUR GOD DAM SHOULDER DOWN AND SMACK THE fu&*#r. Just stupid. Quote Link to comment
Pasadena Husker
looked like a lack of ability to me. Quote Link to comment
BigRedPowerWagon
How can it be lack of ability though. Hold the ball tight, put your head down and lead your shoulder in. Quote Link to comment
rkhufu7
Shorter guys are quicker for zone blocking. The Huskers blocked with shorter and lighter linemen than many Big 12 teams and the Broncos did the same thing in the NFL for years. The 6'6"-8" OTs are for passing, they are not the run blocking machines that the 6'5" to 6'2" guys are that play for the service academies and the 90s husker teams. Tall guys are not as quick or coordinated. That is one reason why you don't have many 6'6-8" guys on the DLs, they do not have the quicks or leverage for run blocking. Quote Link to comment
Glendower
@2:26... that's all I'm sayin'. I was hoping that this video would have more of frost's blocking... but what can you do? Also, watch how well the players all work together, the receivers cracking back and knocking defenders. Man that was awesome football. Yeah, the 94 and 5 teams were AWESOME, but 97 had it's own sort of awesomeness, too... This is fast, coordinated football. Quote Link to comment

He would have 5-8 yards wide open to tuck it and make some yards and would sit there and wait for pressure to hit him. Way too indecisive to be a leader. Cody Green came in and made some mistakes, but at least he was decisive in what he did. Quote Link to comment
hskrfan4life
and you would expect green to make mistakes as a freshman, but this was lee's 6th game so he should have enough grip of the offense and not make these mistakes, but i'm not a quarterback or a coach, so i'll leave it up to Bo Quote Link to comment
