BigRedJake
I gotta disagree here. I don't see where Zac is going to struggle against this defense. They're definately fast, can't deny that, but Zac is going to pick them apart. Their defense is very inexperienced and small, Ross is going to wear 'em down running up the gut and should make it even easier for Zac to exploit their very young corners. As for Wake's offense, they've still got Barclay, and he's deadly. But they're o-line is spotty at best and the two quarterbacks still fighting for the job have only thrown 5 touchdowns to 7 interceptions. They've also got only one reciever with any experience at all. This will be our game to lose. NU - 28 WF - 10 Zac throws for over 250 and Ross breaks the century. edit: didn't even notice that, no way Beck plays Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
let's get real.........Beck does not start the 2nd game of the season, NU still trying to get settled down on both sides of the ball.......close game 24-17 NU hunter Quote Link to comment
StuckinChicago
Wake Forest in unable to stop the run, and Ross leads the offense to a big performance, as he totals 188 on the ground as part of a 255 yard day for the Husker O. The defense is solid on most series, but has an occasional slip. Taylor has an uneventful, but effective day. throwing for 212 yards, with a touchdown and a pick. Final Score.... Hunter94
the maine game will tell you about as much as spring practice did....expect for the impact of the new kids coming in, and then it will not be a good barometer for predicting the tougher games on the schedule...... hunter Quote Link to comment
oviedol55
Nebraska - 28 Wake - 17 We'll struggle and go down 17-14 in the third, but bounce back late in the game with an explosion by Ross. Taylor will have his first real struggles, throwing for 174, one TD to LeFlore and two INTs. Ross will rush for 132 and 2 TDs and Bullocks will return an INT for a TD. Quote Link to comment

HuskerFaithful
35-14 Huskers win. I looked into my crystal national championship football and read some tea leaves just to be sure. Plus the tarot cards said so. Quote Link to comment
skersfan
Returning 10 starters on offense and 9 on defense is not an inexperienced team. This team played a much tougher schedule than Nebraska last year and played every single ranked team close till the end or lost in overtime, except Miami. I would guess if we faced FSU, VaTech and some of the others our record would not have been 5-6. They have an All American Punter and what they expect to be an All American kicker. There will be no fear of Nebraska. They feel they have played in tougher stadiums and faired better than we did last year. Our good fortune is that their strenght is their running and I think our d will shut that down. If Taylor and crew are a team by the second game we will be okay. Anyone who thinks this team is a joke, go back and look at last years stats against top teams and you will find out just how weak this team is. They are well coached and will be one hell of a battle. If we were playing them in their house I would really be worried. This is a team that never ever quits. We better hope no one is looking past this game to Pitt because if that is the case it is a sure loss. 27-24 in the last minutes of the 4th quarter. Quote Link to comment
Steve
This game will be a pretty easy win. Maine gave up over 400 yards per game last season. And they play in a lower division. Sure they beat Mississippi State last season, at Starkville for their first division 1A win ever, but they only won by 2 points against a team that went 3 - 8 last year. Mississippi State only scored an average 15.7 points per game last season. http://goblackbears.collegesports.com/spor...5/teamcume.html This should be an easy win. Beck should see some action by the early third quarter at the latest. Quote Link to comment
