IBleedHuskerRed
At one point, he was 14-16, and he finished 20-37. I teach 5th and 6th grade math, and that calculates to a 6 for 21 finish from then on. Wow. Oh, he played well though. Theres forwards of text messages going around about Lee's ability to make completions around my town. It read: Last night Bo Pelini's house was egged around midnight. only 3 of 12 hit his house. Police believe it to be Zac Lee. Quote Link to comment
jlar2486
What are you thanking him for? You just said in your last post you weren't pinning this on Lee. Now you're thanking him for what? The TD/INT part? That's the only thing relevant to your OP in his post. Seriously. What are you saying? I'm thanking him for thinking that we need to go a different route with Green. Lee did not play well, and while it isn't his fault entirely that we lost, we need a dual threat to run our offense at this point if we are going to run the plays we've been running. Give Green a start and see what happens. Quote Link to comment

Zaimejs
Okay, so blame the receivers for some of the drops, but how many of the completions were cheap little crappy screens? Those shouldn't pat his stats. By the 7th screen I was pretty much And if I see another Lee keeper, I may just vomit. I would like to see Green. From what I saw, he has a much stronger passing arm. A couple of Zach's passes just kind of floated. They look like ducks. He can't see receivers, and he panics. He never looks comfortable even when he has 5 seconds to try to find someone. I don't know if this has any merit, but there may be something to the way he throws the ball that makes it hard to catch. No touch. Knuckle balls. just a thought. Quote Link to comment

If you take away the screens and little dink passes from his stats, you have to do that for every QB to be able to compare. Quote Link to comment
Vince from ShamWOW
I'm watching the Texas and Mizzou game. Why can't Watson call a game like the UT OC does? If it's personnel.....go get them. Quote Link to comment

cscott2win
Some of you amaze me. It's like it is taboo to question any of Lee's play. Let's blame it on everyone else around him instead. The fact that he is not leading this team on offense doesn't occur to you. He also threw 3 picks today. And we saw nothing of our top recruit from last year even get a whiff. What? He might throw a pick! This is reminding me of Keller/Ganz. And to top it off we've lost 2 straight games to other teams backup qb's!!! Lee didn't lose the game for us today but he sure as hell didn't win it either. I'm a black and white kind of guy also. I see an offense without any leadership. Quote Link to comment
irafreak
Stick green in. Run the ball more and lets not throw to those awful recievers as much. Simple. Bad recievers=less throwing. Quote Link to comment
crispy
How about counting the drops and deducting them from the total. I know he had drops, so I am not trying to pin all of the blame on him. But when we need ten yards for the first down, he is still looking at receivers 5 yards downfield. (Niles Paul drop late in the game) And he always looks for a checkoff receiver like Helu. He just really reminds me of Sam Keller. He even has a similar release. He doesn't always put receivers in great positions. Also, when was the last time that he consistently lead receivers rather than throw behind them? Again, he is not the only problem, but his situation needs to be thoroughly examined. I was pleased to see some improvement with Lee. I did also see the same -ol not looking at the wide open receivers 20 yards out and someone should explain that when optioning if you are about to be tackled toss football to RB with nobody around him. Lee didn't lose the game for us today but he sure as hell didn't win it either. I'm a black and white kind of guy also. I see an offense without any leadership. No, that's not it. Lee WAS part of the problem. But mostly not, today at least. Lee had a decent game. We can talk about leadership, and maybe that's an issue, but today that wasn't the problem. This was a system-wide failure on offense. Every phase of the game, Running, Receiving, Line Play, Play Calling and QB Play were inadequate. You cannot pin TODAY on Zac Lee when everything around him turned to crap. There is plenty of criticism to lay on Lee. He threw an awful, game-ending interception. But the other two picks were not his fault, nor were the five fumbles. Take away any one of those fumbles and we win this game. Seriously - why isn't Helu taking as much heat as Lee today? Helu played like dog ass today. I know he's injured and gutting it out, but he was nothing today. But there's two dozen threads about putting Green in, and none saying, "Let's bench Helu for Robinson." It's pretty odd. Quote Link to comment
