Huskrnut
getting 1000 yds is today is impressive with the pass first mentality of offences that shows the ability to make plays and run the ball for yourself with out the blocking help of 2TE a FB and a huge O line Quote Link to comment
JTrain
I don't think it's impressive any more, considering bowl teams get to count 13 or 14 games worth of stats, while in previous decades, teams got 11. Big difference. Quote Link to comment
cmb23
Game has changed. 2 decades ago only a couple of guys would sniff 3,000-4,000 yards passing in a season. Now someone hits 5,000 every year. Hell they approach 6,000. You add 500-1000 yards passing to a season...takes away from one main guy's rushing numbers. Quote Link to comment
Enhance
Rushing for 1000 yards in a season isn't really all that impressive anymore. I think with our offensive style it does. Last year Roy only put up roughly 850 yards in the entire season. Granted, he split time a lot more with Lucky and Castille, but for being the lead guy I'm impressed with the fact that he is probably going to get 1200-1300 if he continues to produce like he has. Given his injuries the last few weeks, I'm even more impressed. Quote Link to comment

kc_husker
A 5.8 ( i think) yards per carry says it all to me. Quote Link to comment
kansas husker
I personally think it is impressive since Helu has been hurt most of the season Quote Link to comment
hskrdavey
To be hurt a few games and still have about the same rushing yards (but better average) than Spiller... Quote Link to comment

When healthy Helu is good for 100+ a game. Maybe next year he can rip off 1500+. And WIN THE HEISHMAN! What suh should win this year but won't because the heishman because it has become so political. clone
Rozier ran for over 1000 yards in a game in 1982 I believe... you are thinking of troy davis vs mizzou. Quote Link to comment
