kansas husker
2 Sources have told 610 Sports Radio that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, Stanford Coach Jim Harbaugh will fly to Lawrence following Saturday's Heisman Trophy Ceremony to accept the deal to be the new Kansas Head Coach. He's expected to have an annual salary of $2.7 million a year. In a statement, KU Athletic Director Lew Perkins said that the process is "ongoing" and "We have not offered the Head Coaching position to anyone." Stay tuned to 610 Sports Radio for more on this developing story 610sports Thought this was interesting Quote Link to comment
Dundermifflinite
From Twitter: TomDienhart I am hearing Jim Harbaugh is NOT coming to Kansas. Turner Gill may be on deck. Skip Holtz, Kevin Sumlin and Butch Jones also are options. Quote Link to comment
irafreak
Word is that both Tuner and Skip holtz have stated they would take the job if offered. Quote Link to comment
Dundermifflinite
please please please make it Skip Holtz. I don't want to root against Turner, not to mention he has serious recruiting ties in the Dallas metroplex area. Plus Skip Holtz is Lou Holtz's son. Who better to make fun of the Lou Holtz? Guy is a retard. Quote Link to comment
jayhawk
I saw some things now that said Harbaugh decided to stay at Stanford this morning. That seems to be all over the place, so I am not sure how it will end... Quote Link to comment

Seems like everyone in KC has their own coach in mind and it's hard to get a read on who KU really wants. Quote Link to comment
chamrocck
http://kcsp.stats.com/multisport/story.asp...171156290000101 Staying at Stanford. No surprise to me at all. Harbaugh is the type of guy to do this to get more $$$ out of Stanford. Looks like maybe that is what happened? Stanford job > KU job...would have been surprised if he took KU. Quote Link to comment

Street Novelist
going from Stanford to Kansas is a step backwards...the only thing Kansas had going for it was the money Quote Link to comment
Nexus
My guess is Skip Holtz. Perkins and Holtz have a prior working relationship at UConn during the 90's. Quote Link to comment
