Scratchtown
From what I've heard or been told in person, It was brought to my attention that Shawn Watson, Ted Gilmore, and Barney Cotton were the only ones that came back to the state after that big12 title game. All other coaches went out and recruited. Now the last time somthing like that happened with another team (notre dame) their coach was fired. Maybe watson, gilmore, and cotton are being shown the door? Also had heard that cotton came back only for some other reason, but i'll take 2 outta 3 rather than 0, although i really hope cotton gets out too. Quote Link to comment
kansas husker
You did see the link for rumorville didn't you? Quote Link to comment
Huskerballz
Thursday's Big Red Wrap Up was doing an in depth segment about recruiting. They were talking about Andrew Rodriguez and how they were going to be talking to him in the phone in a few and how they couldn't do it right then because Barney Cotton was doing his in home visit...soo....I don't think that holds much truth. Overland Park Husker
Wasn't Cotton in on the JUCO recruits as well? I think people are reading way too much into these quotes and articles. Quote Link to comment
DJR313
As much as it pains myself and some others, most likely no coaches are leaving. I think they get a pass this year, but if next year is like this one, we will probably have at least 1 change. Quote Link to comment
macroboy
wasn't there also a rumor that as soon as the coaches got back from Texass they went to Kansas to lock up the JUCO's? Quote Link to comment
