First game memories

2008 Baylor game. It was a 11:00am kickoff and it was pretty chilly. My wife and I went down to stadium early and I had a few drinks and some food with some friendly folks. Got into the stadium and bought a famous Runza right away from the the guy yelling it in this really creepy voice. I sat in the Baylor section....well supposed Baylor section and had a fantastic time.

The Huskers won and I had some more drinks. It was a great time and I cannot wait to bring my daughter to her first Husker game.

I think Calvin Johnson was a reciever in '95.

Nope.

Jeez Mr. Knowitall

Sometimes I think there should be a knowledge test to be able to post here...

Edit: first game: 1994 vs Wyoming. I was 12 and went with my dad. IIRC the game was closer than it should have been in my estimation and I knew nothing about football. I just remember being so nervous that we were going to lose. I was also disappointed that Calvin Jones wasn't the running back anymore because, at that time, he was my favorite player.

I can't recall my very first Husker game, it was back in the 1960's. (yeah, I know I'm OLD! :) according to some of you anyway! ;) )

I have better recall of games in the early 1970's. Watched us beat Miami a number of times in the mid 70's. My college roommate was from Miami, we played them here in '75 & '76.

I remember the 1972 Oklahoma game watching Johnny Rodgers play at memorial stadium for the last time. Huskers lost that one 14-17.

I have many great memories of games in Memorial Stadium.

Not sure if there is another one out here but here we go.

Dont remember the year but my first game was when Calvin Johnson played a hell of a game against Kansas. It was a eithere a kickoff or punt all the way to the house for a touchdown had to be 90 yrds plus. The place was amazing. I still remember to this day wondering why the hell everyone had balloons at a football game..

my first game was a loss, the don james coached huskies in memorial, night game, north endzone, fleeing memories they were, i was...just over 4 or 5.

That was my first game as well. 1991 I believe. I would've been ten. I had been to almost every spring game and a bunch of coaches' clinics with my dad so I thought I knew the stadium pretty well. But nothing compares to a night game. Even though we lost it was very exciting.

My first game was Nebraska at Iowa State in 2000. It was freezing cold, probably no more that 10 degrees, and snowing. My mom and I left at the end of the third quarter, and at that point, we were winning 35-7 and most of the stadium had already left.

My first Husker home game was in 2000 also. Nebraska vs. Colorado where Eric Crouch led us down the field on the final drive to beat Colorado by a field goal. This one was much more enjoyable than the Iowa State one.

8 Sep 84 vs Wyoming, Huskers first game of the season

My dad and I got the tickets from an aunt who had season tickets and gave that game to us because she couldn't attend.

I don't remember too much of what happened during the game but I do remember that one of the loudest cheers that day was when they announced that Miami Fl lost to Michigan.

I still have a souvenir from that day though, a plastic cup that they sold sodas in that day which I still use to this day as my Husker game day adult beverage cup.

First post! :w00t

First husker game, at missouri in 94. From missouri so my parents tried to make me a mizzou fan. It failed. Finally in 2007, went to the texas a&m game in nebraska, 9 and a half hour drive. One of the greatest experiences ever.....even though we i hated callahan I had tickets and couldn't pass them up
