Apathy
I downloaded GIMP a few days ago and have been messing around with software and I couldn't for the life of me put a freakin border around the picture. I did the Selective Colorization thru the GIMP Tutorial and I couldn't get a border to go around the image but I'm happy on how it looks. I'll continue to work with this program to someday become a pro lol. Quote Link to comment
eliot1171
Looks good. Keep at it. These programs have a somewhat steep learning curve. I'm sure you have already been to a couple of these sites but here is a great source of GIMP tutorials. http://tutorialblog.org/gimp-tutorials/ Quote Link to comment
General Blackshirt
For a first time, that looks really good to me. I've played around with these programs and never came close to anything like that. Quote Link to comment
Landlord
Great, great, first effort! I'm excited to see what else you can come up with. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I made my avatar and a couple of others in GIMP. It's tough to learn, but if you've used PhotoShop that experience really helps. I need to do some tutorials, and I need to get more time. My degree is actually in graphic arts, of all things. Not bad for a colorblind guy. Quote Link to comment
