Street Novelist
ESPNU 150 Watch List member Quandre Diggs (Angleton, Texas/Angleton) continues to pick up offers at a quick pace. This week, TCU and Arizona entered the race for the 5-foot-9, 188-pound playmaker. The Horned Frogs and Wildcats join Oklahoma, Nebraska, Missouri, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Baylor, Houston and Tulsa in offering the Houston-area offensive player of the year. Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma State and Alabama are among many others programs also showing interest. Georgia is sending a junior day invite out to Diggs. Quote Link to comment

girlknowsfootball
UT won't offer him. They always sign to top rivals guys. Malcom will be their #1 guy because he's got the big size and they have had a lot of success with the big backs in their system (Reggi Williams, Cedric Benson, etc.) Quote Link to comment

Malcom will be their #1 guy because he's got the big size and they have had a lot of success with the big backs in their system (Reggi Williams, Cedric Benson, etc.) Then we got a good chance to pick him up Yeah we do. But the question is... how many backs is NU going to take next year? I am assuming Aaron Green is our #1 preference going into the season, and then would the Trinity guy or this guy or Reed from Kansas or someone else come second? And do we take a 3rd? In 2009 NU signed 3 backs (1 ended up being a fullback) and if Okafour leaves along with some of the others who are way too behind to start... do we fill up all those spots and more at that position? EZ-E
Brown, B. Williams, Bergeron, Green. Texas will take two of the four. Williams will commit early if offered which he has a good chance at being offered. Brown will end up a Longhorn as well. My prediction. You dont just go into Texas and pull out the top talent unless your name is Bob Stoops or Bo Pelini Quote Link to comment
Redmusky
Diggs has good WR skills, The husker maybe looking at WR or slot back. Quote Link to comment

Malcom will be their #1 guy because he's got the big size and they have had a lot of success with the big backs in their system (Reggi Williams, Cedric Benson, etc.) Well they don't really run that system anymore. Jamaal Charles was the last UT back to get 1000 yards rushing. I'm not sure he was a big back: 5'11" 199 is what nfl.com lists him at. Chris Whaley was big, but the guys before and after him are all over the map. I think at this point they're taking the best they can get because their rushing attack has been pretty anemic the last few years. Anyway, by the end of the month we'll know a lot more about the Texas prospects. Quote Link to comment
