OFFICIAL: Arsenal Sells Cesc Fabregas To Barcelona

 

A statement on FC Barcelona's official website reads: "Arsenal FC and FC Barcelona have reached the beginnings of an agreement for the transfer of Cesc Fàbregas with the documents to be signed and the medical to take place on Monday. Below we present the player's timetable for Monday

 

Monday 15th of August

 

8:00am: Medical at Barcelona Hospital

 

10:30am: Medical at FC Barcelona Medical Centre

 

12:30pm: Signing of the contract

 

13:00pm: Photo opportunity with President Rosell in front of the club offices

 

13:30pm: Photo session at Camp Nou open to the public (The stadium will open at 12.00pm).

 

14:00pm: Presentation in front of the press in the Sala París"

OFFICIAL: Barcelona Signs Fabregas To 5 Year Deal

 

A statement on FC Barcelona's official website reads: "During the official presentation of Cesc Fabregas as a new FC Barcelona player, Josep Maria Bartomeu, who accompanied the player along with the Director of Professional Football, Andoni Zubizarreta, detailed the specific figures of the player’s transfer from Arsenal. He explained that the transfer of Cesc closed at 29 million Euros, half to be paid now and the rest in September. His contract is for five years and the buyout clause has been set at 200 million Euros.

 

In addition there is an agreement with Arsenal that in the hypothetical case that Barça win two League titles and one Champions League title with Cesc’s participation, the English club would receive a bonus of 5 million Euros, two for each League title and one for the Champions League."

OFFICIAL: Arsenal Sells Emmanuel Eboue To Galatasaray

 

A statement on Arsenal's official website reads: "Arsenal have agreed terms with Turkish side Galatasaray for the transfer of Emmanuel Eboue. Eboue, 28, who signed for Arsenal from Belgian side Beveren in January 2005, made a total of 214 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions during his time with the Club...His transfer to Galatasaray is still subject to the completion of formal legal agreements and registration processes. Everyone at Arsenal thanks Manu for his contribution towards the Club and wishes him the best of luck for the future."

Diego Forlan- I Have Received An Offer From Inter

 

Forlan told Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport: "I have received an offer from the Nerazzurri [inter]. It would be like a dream come true to move to Milan and play for Inter."

 

Forlan has been linked with a move away from Atleti and Inter has been mentioned as an interested party ahead of Samuel Eto'o's proposed move to Anzhi Makhachkala in Russia.

 

Atletico sold Sergio Aguero to Manchester City for $38 million during the current transfer window, and the club is said to be targeting Porto striker Falcao as a replacement for the Argentine.

 

Forlan has a contract with Atletico Madrid until the summer of 2013.

Tottenham Trying To Sign Adebayor

 

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed that the club is trying to sign Emmanuel Adebayor from Manchester City. Redknapp told reporters: “The chairman is talking to Manchester City about the player. Where the negotiations are at, I genuinely don’t know.”

 

Reports suggest City will pay half of Adebayor's wages during the loan and Tottenham will have the option to buy him for $12 million at the end of the season.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic Out 2 Weeks With Sprained Ankle

 

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been ruled out for 2 weeks with an ankle injury. The Swede injured himself during the first half of Sunday's 2-2 friendly against Malmo. A scan has revealed a distortion trauma, with Ibrahimovic set to miss 2 weeks if no complications arise.

Inter's Maicon To Have Knee Surgery

 

Inter Milan right-back Maicon will fly to Brazil to have knee surgery, the club has announced. The Brazilian sustained the injury in a training session last week and was allowed to rest the last 2 days as a precaution. Scans have shown that Maicon suffered an injury to the medial meniscus of his right knee, which will require immediate surgery.
