Report: Juventus Trying To Sign Villarreal's Giuseppe Rossi After Negotiations For Sergio Aguero Break Down

"Rossi is now the priority after the Aguero talks stalled," a Juventus source told Goal.com.

"They offered $35 million, but the Spanish were holding out for $45 million, and so they couldn't convince them as Atletico did not want to lower the fee after speaking with [Juventus sporting director Giuseppe] Marotta."

Goal.com is reporting Juventus agreed to a deal with Aguero but talks collapsed with Atletico over the transfer fee. Atleti had made it clear they were only willing to sell their man if Juve met his buy-out clause, which Juve refused to pay.

"Juventus had convinced Aguero with an offer of $7.5 million in wages, but they were not able to convince Atletico," the source disclosed.

"Given that Atletico are not willing to give any discounts on the $45 million clause, Juventus are now focused on Rossi."

Report: Inter Milan To Sell Wesley Sneijder To Manchester United For $35.2 Million

Senior officials from the two clubs are understood to have shaken hands on the terms of the deal after United chief executive David Gill made it clear the Premier League champions are willing to meet Inter's asking price.

United also confirmed that Gill was in Zurich on Wednesday, where an Inter delegation was also present, to attend a European Club Association meeting but an Inter source told Goal.com that he had been in Milan on Tuesday and early on Wednesday to lead Sneijder negotiations with another Old Trafford director.

Sneijder is currently at Inter's pre-season training camp at Pinzolo. The deal will now depend on his desire to force a move to Old Trafford. He is currently signed through 2015 with Inter.

Sneijder's wage demands are reportedly holding up the deal from being done. Sources have told Goal.com Sneijder wants around $200,000 a week but United is reluctant to pay more than $170,000.

OFFICIAL: Liverpool Signs Roma Goalkeeper Doni

Speaking to Liverpoolfc.tv, the club's Director of Football, Damien Comolli, said: "We are delighted to sign Doni. It's a position we felt we had to strengthen because it will allow our young goalkeepers to go on loan and get some experience at some point during the season, which is crucial in their development."

"We are getting a very experienced goalkeeper who is used to handling the pressure of big games and international matches with Brazil. He had a very good end of last season with Roma, so we are very pleased."

The Brazilian signed for an undisclosed fee after spending 6 years at the Italian club, allowing Liverpool to loan out their young goalkeepers to get some experience elsewhere.

Juventus has offered $45 million for Manchester City's Carlos Tevez, according to Corinthians president Andres Sanchez. There has been no confirmation from Juventus on whether they did indeed bid for Tevez.

Tevez has made his desire to leave City very clear, stressing that he wants to be closer to his family in Argentina, and he could be open to a return to Corinthians, where he played before moving to West Ham in 2006.

Report: Nike To Complete Transfer Of Sneijder To Manchester United

Senior Nike officials want Sneijder to move to Old Trafford because United's global brand and reach in markets such as the Far East and Latin America far outweighs that of Inter, who is also sponsored by Nike. Nike sponsors Sneijder and supplies United their kit and could be ready to step in and pay a percentage of the Dutchman's wages to ensure the transfer goes through.

A source close to the negotiations told Goal.com: "If Nike wants you to move then you will move. Nike wants Sneijder to Manchester United because it is easier for them to use him as a commercial icon."

"If United will only pay the same salary as Rooney and there is a gap between what they can offer and what the player wants, then Nike will pay the gap. It was the same with Adidas when they bought Cristiano Ronaldo and Beckham. When top players go to Real Madrid, Adidas are always involved in things financially."

Corinthians Pull Out Of Deal For Manchester City's Carlos Tevez

Corinthians have announced the end to negotiations for the transfer of Manchester City's Carlos Tevez.

A statement on the club's official website reads: "The director of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista comes forward officially to communicate the impossibility of the signing of Argentinian forward Carlos Tevez. While recognizing Manchester City's efforts and those of everyone involved, there's no more time for the signing to be finalized, considering that the window to sign players from abroad ends on Wednesday, July 20."
