hey i am hearing reports that the huskers could join the big ten by friday.

 

 

if thats the case, i wanna say welcome to the big ten, from a die hard buckeyes fan. yeah we are know as some as the most annoying fans in college football. But we do care for all our teams, weather if we play against eachother or playing out of confrence (screw the sec). so you might not meet as friendly as a buckeyes fan as i am. but we are all really friendly with eachoter weather you talk to a minnesota, purdue, penn state or god forbid a michigan fan. Anyways once again i just wanna say welcome, and i hope for a competitive future against the cornhuskers. You guys can bet your ass i will be cheering for big red everytime you guys play the "team up north" as woody would say.

 

so i am welcoming you guys with open arms! WELCOME TO THE BIG TEN :D

Welcome to Huskerboard! I work(ed) with a guy who is a huge Buckeyes fan. I say "work(ed)" because he just retired from the military. At any rate, he would throw a "Go Buckeyes" at me every once in awhile and I would throw a "That's your problem" back at him. It was all in jest of course. Him and I became good friends over the years.

 

At any rate, welcome again. Hope your stay here is a pleasant one :cheers

Well, unfortunately I don't think I can agree with your friendliness arguement considering what asses Penn State fans were to Nebraska fans when we played them in PA.

 

That's their nature. Worthless, idiotic, petulant, criminal, a$$hole$.

 

I don't think the petulance of Penn State fans has enough notoriety. But coming from another life-long Ohio State fan, I can tell you that generally Nebraska will get nothing but respect from the Big Ten. Furthermore, Iowa would be very eager to establish a rivalry that I'm sure would be mutually beneficial to reciprocate.

 

If all of this comes to be, consider this another welcome to the Big Ten.

Doubt it. Personal experience with Buffalo, Wildcat and to some extent Tiger fans will really challenge you in the annoying category (or many other schools)

All fans have their a$$holes, some Saturdays are just worse than others. Except for the buckeyes, they're all a$$holes :) (tongue in cheek)

 

 

Kidding aside I really welcome the idea of Nebraska being in the BigWhatever, yours is a program on the up and with loads of history. It will be interesting to see how all this shakes out.

Not so fast, PSUcks fans are very arrogant. And they still think they got robbed in '94.

Not defending PSU, but as recent threads have shown, Nebraska Fan (me included) still hasn't gotten over the extra-wide field in 1983. Passionate fans are passionate, and many have long memories.
