NUance
*bump* So three months later T-Mart has turf toe and two ankle injuries. Is Jake Locker faster now? Will T-Mart be healed up, and faster than Locker, by bowl time? Quote Link to comment
Sparker
Probably about the same speed with T-mart hobbled, but I think these three weeks will have him looking closer to the old Taylor. Quote Link to comment
BornRedCornFed
he may be as fast in terms of 40 time, but hes not nearly as athletic. you wont see locker breaking a DB's ankles on a cut Quote Link to comment
ESPY
Jake Locker is seriously fast, just not nearly as quick. Guy has 4.4 speed. true but now compare it to this I can't tell you how much I miss TMart's blazing speed as exemplified by this clip of his 1st TD vs WKU. Hope we get to see that again in the bowl game....shoot, I'd be glad to see that again next season, if that is how long it takes him to heal completely. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
That was IMPRESSIVE speed by Locker. Am sure Martinez is a better runner, but damn, against Arizona, that was very fast. Not sure he is much slower, if any. But the burst may not be the same, nor the running instincts, not sure. Passing for sure is further along. But we are just talking about running here. mmmtodd
what makes me smile is that someone wants/has to make the argument of a *former* heisman/1st rd draft pick senior against a first year starting freshman. Quote Link to comment
GMoose
NOOO!! Now that this has been stated maybe we won't win! :madash Quote Link to comment
papersun87
Man, I forgot what it was like to see TMart just disappear like that. Even if he can only get 80% of that acceleration back he'll still be a force to be reckoned with. Quote Link to comment
Lincolnite
I'm not familiar with turf toe. Is there a chance we never see that type of burst from TMagic again? Quote Link to comment
huskernumerouno
Taylor should have a lot of his mobility and speed back by the bowl game. It should be fun to see him fresh and hungry Quote Link to comment
bshirt
A 100% healthy Tmart would make a HUGE difference in this game. A hobbled, bad ankle & turf toe Tmart just doesn't hack it. If he's not close to 100% we better hope Cody is ready to go. Quote Link to comment
