Hercules
I'm reminded of two historical Nebraska football games as we get closer and closer to tomorrow. 1. Tom Osborne's speech from the 1995 Orange bowl keeps running through my head. Nebraska had been outplayed in the first half, was down 10-7, and it looked like Miami was going to do what Florida teams had been doing to Nebraska all through the 80's and early 90's. But at halftime Osborne finished his prophetic speech by saying, "This time we're gettin' it done! No excuses! This time we're going to get it done!" 2. I don't think Nebraska has been this hungry for a victory since Oklahoma in 1978. How the hunger manifested itself on that day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pByDA7TmQ_w :01 FINISH Quote Link to comment
General Blackshirt
There is no way we lose this game... Yes, there is. Don't let the kool-aid cloud reality. A loss is very possible. Quote Link to comment
Blaze1up
It's gonna get ugly. :woo :woo :woo :woo :woo :woo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUoWZ_zcPpE Quote Link to comment
brophog
Any time you think you won't lose is when you do. Much better Nebraska teams have lost to much worse Texas teams in stakes that were every bit as important. Quote Link to comment
bleedNUred
EPIC hit, OMG he destroyed him. Love it. Ruuuuuuuuuud! Quote Link to comment
River-runner
We heard that hit clear across the field in the Card Section. Biggest Hit I've ever seen. RR Quote Link to comment
307husker
Dr. Tom was a bit fired up on the sidelines. That's about as much emotion as I'd ever seen from him. Quote Link to comment
jsneb83
If there is no way we lose the game, then why are they still gonna play the game? Quote Link to comment

shyndy
lol looked helmet to helmet to me. just saying. one of the current rules im not fond of. if they really feel the need to they could just consider flagrant use of helmet to helmet as unnecessary roughness. Quote Link to comment
NEBRASKANHEAT
that play would have been illegal today Can't hit a guy in the shoulder? Can't point the crown of your helmet at any part of the player and lead head first anymore. I miss the old days. When men were men and paralysis was a considered a justifiable risk if it meant a win. I thought the same thing, honestly, after my first view. The way the returner went down, I figured there had to be some helmet/helmet contact, but I just didn't see it in the slow-mo. Looked like a crushing blow to the chest. Whatever it was..... it was a fumble! that much we can ALL agree on. Quote Link to comment
trouble
As much as I want to drink the koolaid, a loss is possible. However, I don't believe it is likely. GO BIG RED! Quote Link to comment
