skersfan
We all love the Huskers, we are Husker fans we see things differently than the media. Just like all fans, ESPN hates them. The team needs to win the games, if we do not win certain games we fall from grace, we win those games we are the big deal, see Oregon. As far as I am concerned they have beaten no one other than Stanford who has beaten no one period. You win, you get the goodies, does not matter who you beat, see TCU. What have you done for me lately. That is college football. You will have to learn to deal with it or you are never going to be happy. I am proud of our team, they have given all they have, done the best they could, showed a little short on a couple of games, but it could be like it was a few years ago. I will take two losses or three over what we had. The sun will come up tomorrow on a 9-2 team, that is headed to a pretty good bowl game. That makes me happy. Quote Link to comment
DTrain2020
i feel like we have gotten more National recognition from columnist, writers, and ESPN this year than the last 2-3 years combined. I know winning and having an electric Quarterback helps with that, but i cant bitch when it come to who Pat Forde wants for his defense. He has S***ed Boise enough to where he has to start doing the same to another non-qualifier. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and writers like Pat Forde get payed to talk nonsense most of the time. Lets point our frustrations to our continious Offensive Line penalties, illegal formations, defensive timeouts, Wide Recievers, and the safety of our TE's "thighs". Quote Link to comment

ladyhawke
Here you go. This article might help: http://espn.go.com/blog/big12/post/_/id/22430/weighing-in-on-the-all-big-12-teamsawards -ladyhawke~ I just don't get it. No matter what we do, or what other teams don't do, we CANNOT get any love from anyone. Forde, Mandel, Herbstreit, James, barely Ubben, pretty much anyone willing to talk about the Huskers except Robert Smith. Somebody on Forde's chat asked which defense they would like to see against Oregon's offense. TCU or Nebraska. He immediately responded with the whole "TCU is #1 in scoring defense and the #1 defense." At first I thought maybe he would just want to see TCU, a non AQ team just to see, but when he used the ranking, it just pissed me off. Who has TCU played? Nobody. They shut down Utah, but where are they now? Nebraska is the second best(?), and has gotten that by playing teams that are FAR superior to anything TCU has played. Are the opponents factored into the ranking, or is it just what you've done through the season? I would think these guys are smart enough to give us some love and make some exceptions, I guess not. irafreak
This isn't a whiny thread. He asked a question. And he has a point. I'd take our defense over TCU's in a heartbeat. We are far more battle tested than they are but you know what....TCU will draw a big dog and we'll get to see just how good that defense really is. Quote Link to comment
