NUance
Key Huskers: #10 Brandon KinnieRobin Washut HuskerOnline.com Staff Writer Kinnie's strengths Brandon Kinnie is the clear cut leader of Nebraska's receiving corps heading into the 2011 season not only because of his experience, but because of the way he's proved himself on the field the last two years. The lone senior wide out on the roster, Kinnie's blend of size and strength along with his ability to haul in tough passes in traffic make him the most reliable target at the position. ... Most memorable play or moment A week after Nebraska fell flat on its face in a home loss to Texas last season, it was Kinnie who helped provide the spark to lift the Huskers to a huge 51-41 win at No. 17 Oklahoma State. By the end of the day, Kinnie had hauled in his first three career touchdown catches, tying the single-game school record and being the first Husker with three scoring grabs since Maurice Purify in 2007. He had just three receptions in the win, but Kinnie was responsible for the first and last touchdowns in a game that helped Nebraska bounce back from a devastating loss and take a big step in eventually claiming its second Big 12 North title. LINK If there's one place we need someone to step up, it's at WR. Kinnie looks to be the man this year. Quote Link to comment
Igetbored216
If there's one place we need someone to step up, it's at WR. Kinnie looks to be the man this year. He HAS to be the man this year. He has to be the foundation of the WR corps. He may not end up being the biggest playmaker (Turner), but he has to be the most consistent and the "go to" man because he has the experience. Totally agree with that statement. I think it was brought up before that he needs to the leader of the WR corps for the younger up and coming guys. Quote Link to comment
liveforNU
Good to know he's our only senior wr. Means we will have some talent coming back in the next couple years. It seems like the youngens have some skill. Let's hope someone can step up at the position this year. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
There are 22 starters, maybe 30 guys who see regular duty. They're profiling 50% of them. Are we out of the realm of "key" players and into the realm of "we're just going to describe most of the team" yet? Quote Link to comment

Are we out of the realm of "key" players and into the realm of "we're just going to describe most of the team" yet? Thank you for stating what needed to be said. You know it's long when the usual Five key Huskers turns into 32.5 Key Huskers. But hey it is the offseason, and most will eat up anything that is Husker football. These all should be lumped together to quit eating up so much space with very few replies. Quote Link to comment
