Welcome to the first year we use screens and quickslants in the correct way. The receivers are going to show quite a large improvement this year....mark my words. Playing a slot receiver in college, I LIVED for the quickslant and screen. I think Beck's O is gonna load these two things up this year.

The finest music to my ears. :corndance

Heh, quickslants and screens are back in vogue again?

Those slants were the devil as recently as last year.

If our WRs improve greatly this year, I think no shortage of praise should be heaped on Rich Fisher.

I'd be more likely to give the credit to the OC for his passing system, that is unless guys have hands like velcro.

If the WR's just have hands at all, Fisher should get some credit. For putting guys that could catch on the field if nothing else.

Amen. If Fisher can get those guys to at least catch the damn ball "somewhat" reliably he should be national assistent coach of the year. I couldn't care less about after catch yardage.....just CATCH THE BALL.

Fisher's mantra is so simple and so basic, it's easy to miss just how effective it could be for these guys. There's lots of youth and tons of talent, and while simplification of the Xs and Os will help, it's the motivation, the confidence, and the positive results that should make all the difference.
