Texas is abusing its power. Really? REALLY?

Well eyes are starting to open up outside of Nebraska.

Notable quotes:

The Big 12 can still be saved.

Sounds silly, right? But in recent days, three college insiders who spoke for this column agreed on how the league might remain intact.

The first is for the power brokers in college football - commissioners of other conferences and especially television network executives - to be especially motivated to prevent a massive shakeup to the sport in the wake of a historic run of scandals that have made college football the sports world's favorite punch line.

The second is for Texas to swallow its pride, recognize reality, agree to show good faith and maybe even a little sacrifice to make the Big 12 strong again.

You might notice that neither of these saviors is particulary promising at the moment.

But right now, thses are the league's best chances.

Last summer's shift could be explained away by culture differences and better financial opportunities for both Nebraska and Colorado, but with A&M on the way out over what amounts to an ego battle with Texas, this is on the Longhorns as much as anyone.

Sad thing is: if Texas does leave the Big 12, the conference is done no matter who else comes into it. But why in the world would ND go to the Big12 and not the Big 10? That would've suicide.

ND would probably go to the B12 over the B10, if they went to any conference at all. Think about it - the Bevo conf has unequal revenue sharing and allows special treatment of the cash cows. Notre Dame could not join any other conference EXCEPT for Bevo because no other conf would allow special provisions.

Some of the comments are pretty good but then you see those douchebag UT t-shirt fans comments and just laugh at their arrogance. I truly enjoy the KU fan discussing the National Championships UT has over the past 40 years in comparison to others, and the UT douches ignoring that fact. I always like to bring up that little ole NU with a total population of less than one of their medium sized cities can accomplish more than them. Day in and day out I find more and more reasons to hate those pole smoking Longhorn fans.
