WE have a defense that has already said they quit the last game. If things go as the Wisky game, we play badly and we quit again, there is no reason to think any of the others will be wins." this attitude really bothers me, what has changed at NU? what is up with this group? did we pick up our new team pyschologist at Wal-Mart? I'm just hoping we can play well and get some confidence in our step moving forward. I want a damn rematch with Wisconsin. Why? So they can embarass us on national television again? Ratt Mhule Posted October 6, 2011 Share Posted October 6, 2011 Forget the biggest game of the pelini era think about me and the crap I have had to put up with for years from the most obnoxious fans in college football....my husker magnet mysteriously disappearing from my tailgate and my husker flags being defiled and yes neighbors I know who you are and where your buckeye yard gnomes are as well...these people think that their questionable win of the national championship ( no it wasn't pass interference) in 2002 makes them the greatest thing since the thong bikini. So please Beck if you are reading this just make like an escaped inmate and RUN and when they least expect it RUN some more! Good plan, except for the fact tOSU has the 19th rated run defense in the country... I think TO faced 19th and better run defenses many, many times. I don't ever recall him shaking in his boots and having our qbs sling the ball all over all game long (at all). Good coaches don't ditch their offense just because they're playing a good defense. lt's a matter of talent, confidence and will. High time to suck it up Tim..... GBR!! TO is not our coach anymore. He hasn't been for 15 years. We don't have the O-line we had back then. And how do you know Tim Beck is even a good offensive coordinator? We won't find this out for a few years. Everyone here knows OSU will stack the box and make us throw. Something EVERY team has been doing since SDSU last season. It seems pretty dumb to run, run, run when your only getting 2-3 yards a carry. We have 1 legit win in the last 9 games right now, and after OSU I see only 1 team (Minn) at the level of the 4 I mentioned earlier. Lose this game, and I wouldn't be at all shocked if we finish 5-7. Plus we were suppose to waltz in and win the first Big Ten Championship Game. I wish he would have come to Nebraska when transferring. no doubt, he is special. wiscy got lucky, and it angers me. i do think we will improve more, hopefully, as we are much further from our potential than they should be. i know i am an eternal optimist, but either way it should be an exciting season. I don't think we can beat them this year. We have no idea how either team will be playing a couple months from now. Wisconsin lost to a mid-major in their bowl game last year. We beat down Washington and that game was no fluke. We all saw what happened in the postseason. A lot can happen between now and then. Also, it's hard to beat a team twice in one year. If we improve enough to make it to the title game, it's not crazy to think we'll be good enough to hang with them. Quote Link to comment
