knapplc
Nebraska named as fourth regional site for 2013 Division I Championship The NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Committee has selected Nebraska to host a regional site for the 2013 championship. Nebraska is the fourth and final regional host, joining the previously selected Southern California, Kentucky and Illinois. The Huskers most recently hosted a regional in 2012 (in Omaha), as well as the national championship in 2006 and 2008 in Lincoln. The 2013 regional competition will be played in the newly renovated Devaney Center in Lincoln, Neb. “Nebraska and the city of Lincoln create a wonderful experience for our student-athletes and fans,” said Diane Turnham, NCAA Women’s Volleyball Committee chair and associate athletic director/SWA at Middle Tennessee State. “Volleyball fans are drawn to this area and the committee has always felt Nebraska has an electric atmosphere with capacity crowds, which makes for a great volleyball environment.” Quote Link to comment

C N Red
Is the Devaney gonna be done and ready by the next Volleyball season? Guessing it will be from the sounds of this. Just never really heard a timetable. Quote Link to comment

Just never really heard a timetable. Yeah, that's always been the plan to have it ready. That seems like a pretty quick turn-around but they seem to think that'll be fine. Quote Link to comment
