Maybe it's the people you hang with? :)

Ha I don't hang with them it's a default thing if you now what I mean. I admit I'm probably a little snobby when it comes to motorsports though, I'd don't get into all the drama junk that the networks push.

I dont mind brad, but the first race i took my gf to was kansas a couple summers ago and Brad won. That was the first i had even really heard of the guy. now she is gung ho and all she can say is "well my guy beat your guy" which happens more often than not the last couple years.

Try being a Bobby Labonte fan... lol Also would anybody like to join a fanasty racing group on Yahoo? This year our group only has four people. The group number is 10016 and the password is Huskers.

I don't follow NASCAR that much but I'm a sucker for anything fantasy - except fantasy baseball which means it's a long time until fantasy football.

I've tried to join several times but it keeps telling me the password is incorrect. Can you check to make sure that is the right info? Thanks.

I'm sorry about that I forgot that was wrong. Glad you got in though :)

And for everybody that was talking about Jimmie and Chad earlier on about how you can't touch or mess with the 48, here's something I just read.

"Johnson not pleased with Edwards' final restart at Phoenix: #48-Jimmie Johnson was none too pleased with #99-Carl Edwards for the way Edwards restarted the race prior to the final two laps of the Subway Fresh Fit 500 on Sunday. Edwards responded to the accusations with incredulity. Who, me? Was it was some postrace gamesmanship or just matter-of-fact truthfulness? It's hard to say just exactly what happened on lap 315 of the 316-lap event at Phoenix International Raceway, which Edwards won.

"I felt like Carl didn't follow the restart protocol and was slower than the pace car on his last two restarts, and it gives the leader a huge advantage when that happens," Johnson said. "You're supposed to wait until you get between the two lines and take off and this was all going on before it. You're supposed to maintain the speed of the pace car, so I maintained the speed of the pace car and the 99 (of Edwards) is dropping back."

Au contraire, Edwards says. He believes Johnson was speeding up. "I thought, 'Man, he's playing some kind of trick, he's speeding up,'" Edwards said about the final restart. "I thought, 'What's he doing? Usually the guy in second hangs back a little bit and tries to watch, and he pulled up there, and I thought, 'Man, why is he doing that.' Yeah, so maybe I was slowing down, but I wasn't trying to."

Part of the advantage of being the leader is being able to dictate how the race restarts. If NASCAR believes a driver is not adhering to the rules, it often will admonish the driver and warn that any recurrences during the race will result in a penalty. NASCAR never warned Edwards on Sunday."

It has, they don't even have to be that great of drivers anymore, they just need a good image and a sponsor. I've looked into a few driver development programs and it doesn't matter how many races or championships I've won, they just look to see if I have a sponsor or not. Honestly would Paul Menard be in NASCAR if his daddy didn't own Menard's?

Is it me, or has NASCAR just evolved into a suit tie league made up of a bunch of spoiled babies. You make millions to drive a race car. Get over it.

That's just a given at the top level of any form of racing, where they compete with each other week in and week out. Technically Jimmie is right, but it's not likely to have changed the outcome anyways. He should be more upset with Hamlin running him up the track every turn, that's what cos thim the win.

3 years ago I would have said you're right, but he did win the Brickyard. And as a former employee of menards I was disgusted! The kids are alright but that dad and his brother are scum.

Well if you win on fuel stratagy I don't really call it a win but I digress. Any thoughts on the fine NASCAR handed down to Hamlin? I think it's total BS he didn't even say anything that negative against NASCAR.

Epic facepalm moment there. What the hell is wrong with our society? No one can take even a smidgen of criticism anymore. All he said was something to the sort that the Gen6 car is worse driving or something. NASCAR deemed detrimental to the sport or some sh#t.
