Why would any player choose Nebraska?

Depends on the team. Nebraska has (or should have) a different definition of mediocre than the Navy Midshipmen.

Answer is simply, they won't. Not top recruits at least. We may still find some diamonds, but it's hard to build a successful program on long shots that are poorly coached.
