I understand the tendency to over drama. But I also remember an exchange I had with a fan in 2004 after Texas Tech had just scored 70 points on us... which was unheard of and shocking even after 2001's debacle at Colorado. He told me... don't worry man, it will be alright. It might take five or 10 years, but, eventually, Nebraska has to get it together again. Last fall represented eight years since that conversation took place. We gave up 70 to Wisky.

 

I really don't want to think that, in eight years from now, we will be talking about some other team scoring 70 on us.

 

That's the depressing part of this whole thing.
