On NU's radar - but no offer...yet!

Recommended Posts

Scout is doing a tease on someone named Abner. I believe it is Zane Abner of Atkinson, NE who plays for Atkinson West Holt. He is supposed to be an awesome basketball player and plays on a select basketball team with players from Iowa, Nebraska, and Missouri. He is listed at 6-4, 180. The tease mentioned he had 9 interceptions last year on defense and had two td receptions of 85 yards on offense. I know how some people feel about the whole nature/nurture football dynamic. Yet an athlete, is an athlete, is an athlete.

If he isn't that good, I think with our depth we can afford to take a chance on a sleeper. physically he looks good.

Player: Jason Munns

Hometown: Kennewick, WA

Position: QB

Height: 6'5”

Weight: 230

40 time:

Visit Date:

Scholarships offered:

Favorites: Notre Dame, Oregon, Washington, Washington State, Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Nebraska

Rankings/Stars:

Rivals:

Bid Red Report: :star :star :star:star

Assessing the talent: Will be the top prep QB in Washington State next year. A real man among boys. Southridge High runs a pass-first offense, and he's been a starter for two years. He's a 3.8 GPA student, an excellent athlete, and by all accounts is a terrific leader.

Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 10% Leon Jackson is from the same area, so Nebraska has some exposure in Kennewick. I'd be shocked if we didn't offer Munns at some point. He's got the tools to be an incredible college QB. I'd bet on BC himself making the trek to Kennewick. I live about 90 minutes away, so I'll monitor his senior season.

Look for the Huskers to go after this kid
