Scratchtown
If we get an illegal touching and bat the ball in the air....does a hypothetical interception not count? You play through the play. It's not dead till the end of the play. It's an excuse to question the call and say it's not right especially when one doesnt know how it works. Quote Link to comment
Scratchtown
You either take the penalty and nu retins possession or else you take the result of the play that happens without the penalty. Which was a fumble. Ball to Minnesota. It's not hard to figure out 2 Quote Link to comment
hskrpwr13
This has always been the rule. Nothing to see here. This is no different than any other "in play" penalty on the offense. The play doesn't stop at that point. The penalty is enforced (or declined) after the play is over. 1 Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
It doesn't matter. If DPE would learn to secure the ball, this conversation is moot. If DPE never fumbled, we keep the ball. Period Quote Link to comment
LumberJackSker
They said after the game that if you jump from out of bounds to catch the ball in bounds then the play in is blown dead, if you go out of bounds come in bounds then make the catch its a live play Quote Link to comment
Landlord
Forget the technicality. We committed a penalty and we fumbled so no matter how you spin it we didn't deserve to be rewarded for that. Quote Link to comment
