Illinois Husker_Mac
It looks like the old rb coach at oregon state has joined the huskers staff. Does anyone know what his role is? 1 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
I believe we still have a GA spot open so that would be a possibility. Edit: Plus the walk-on coordinator position. Which we were said to be "close" to hiring. Quote Link to comment
Illinois Husker_Mac
Thanks Mav. He would be a big pickup as a GA Quote Link to comment
Treand3
If he is an GA, he'll he a big help with recruiting in TX with his connections. Hope he's apart of the staff. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
That's cool - and interesting. I was wondering where I had heard this name before. http://www.osubeavers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=207912663 Chris Brasfield is in his fourth season as Oregon State’s running backs coach and in January of 2012 was selected as one of the top 50 recruiters in the country by 247Sports. Before we beat out Harbaugh for the 49ers' old RBs coach, I was thinking this guy was someone I wouldn't have minded at all coming here to take the same position. And as a GA? Quote Link to comment
Illinois Husker_Mac
He was on the field yesterday during practice Quote Link to comment

TITANIC VS LUSITANIA
Awesome, yes. But isn't it weird? Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
Awesome, yes. But isn't it weird? In that for the first time in a decade we have a coach and program reaching out to the youth and people in this state? Yes. That does seem kinda weird. Quote Link to comment

And that we're finally acting like a big time program by hiring qualified, even overqualified people to fill positions here. Quote Link to comment

Not to mention a position coach of a power 5 school and a top 50 rated recruiter in a non coaching position. Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
And that some of our position coaches were former coordinators that took a step down on the superiority ladder. Quote Link to comment

Weird in that he is not a native, and he is typically a position coach. He just applied for a position coach job at Texas not too long ago. I don't know why, I expected someone who had some local ties in place. Quote Link to comment
