Actually, the U.S. does hate to go to war.

 

Yep, but the US still loves war, so we contract others to do the fighting for us. We'll even provide the opponent if necessary.

It's not missing...the Captain wants to live in Montana. And he will marry a round American woman and raise rabbits, and she will cook them for him. And he will have a pickup truck... maybe even a "recreational vehicle." And drive from state to state.

The US doesn't "love war". Now, we haven't been scared to go to war and we believe a strong defense is important. But, that doesn't mean we as a population just loves going to war.

 

If you polled the US population, you would find that a vast majority believe it is important to maintain a strong military but at the same time, hope and pray we never need to use it.
