Count 'Bility
i guess I didnt see the old days as 50 years ago. I saw them as 20 years ago. I'd still say that a 23,000 dollar salary in 1972 was a pretty good chunk of change. Quote Link to comment
shyndy
I don't understand the need for cuts, it can't be for money, as the thing in the paper showed our football program being well in the black as well as the entire athletic department, and we aren't receiving our full allotment from the big 10 yet. It's the equivalent of $414,511.58 today according to this inflation calculator. http://www.bls.gov/data/inflation_calculator.htm Quote Link to comment

Do we really need to pay for cars and country club memberships for people that are making hundreds of thousands (in some cases, in the millions) per year? 1 Quote Link to comment

Blackshirt316
Pretty sure they talked about this a few years ago and again when we hired the new womens basketball coach. They have been doing this since 2014 and didn't actually get rid of these perks. They just don't structure them into the contract individually itemized anymore. If a coach wants a country club membership or a car in their deal they still get one but they just take the actual financial cost and roll it into the salary instead of adding it on top.
